About
The beauty of the Santa Ana Canyons surrounds Green River Golf Club in Corona. The club originally had two 18-hole courses but they have been combined to form one massive, sprawling golf course. Although it is surrounded by hills and valleys, the course itself is mostly flat, making it a good round for high handicappers. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making it even more player friendly for beginners. There are still many challenges in store on this golf course though, including a number of river and creek crossings and strategically placed bunkers. The Santa Ana winds that sweep across the course can often make reaching the greens in regulation quite tough and the abundant trees, while providing a scenic and secluded atmosphere, also add to Green River Golf Club's difficulty.

The part about the course is the greens, everything else below average.
GR
Greens were in good shape. Fairways just ok. Lots of different grasses. People not fixing ball marks. Driving carts all over and close to greens. 5-1/2 hour round.
Green river
Course needs about $10 million to bring it up above average. Unfortunately the clientele do not respect it. Drive around greens, don’t fill divots or fix ball marks. New layout after river reroute is ok. Holes are just ok not challenging. So, probably best to leave it as is. Greens were veery good. Rolled nicely and great condition. Fairways just a mix match of poa ana and other grasses. Cart paths where there was some were ok. Mostly rough dirt. Just a low end public course.
Course was in good shape, greens were great but fairways need a little more water.overall a good experience and I would not mind coming back for another round.
Green Riv
Has an awesome first hole that drops down 100 feet, lots of long past 5 and 4s .. water hazards are full and nice sand.. Staff is awesome bang for the Buck!
Fair and only fair(acceptable, far from good)
Rock & pebble everywhere. Even in the Tee box.
Bunker is rocker no fine sands
Fairway is so solid(hard) add the distance addition 15 yards.
Every greens have different conditions some so fast so are so slow you never know what they going to be too much or not enough.
Nice staff and course layout badly maintained
This could be a really solid course, but they did not maintain it well for what looks like months. IE/OC offers a lot of better courses than this one. Probably will not be coming back. Fairways and rough are close to unplayable, greens were nice though. Pace was slower than I’d like too. Marshall warned the group ahead once but it was still pretty slow. And this is coming from someone who sucks and shoots 105.
Bugs
Way to many bugs. Seem like every flying bug was out. Made it extremely hard to play. I even had bug spray and it seem to have no affect.
I understand it's nature, but this was out of control.
Just a bad day all around. Next time will be better.
