Great conditions, but...
With all of the rain SoCal has received, it's done wonders got the course's conditions. My only gripe for this round was 3 HOURS to complete 9 holes. Mainly due to so many twosomes.

Terrible experience!
Mower guy followed me on every hole, often within feet of my playing. Two women in front of me with 5 holes open in front of them. I quit after 7 holes. Not enjoyable-get a marshall!

Not bad
Fairways and greens were in good shape and rate of play was good. My only concern was landing anywhere other than the fairway off the tee cost a ball. With leftover lawn clippings piled up on edges of fairways, balls were impossible to find. Other than that, it was a good time for a decent price.

The overplayed afterthought course
Played the Cruiser course (the 9 hole little brother to the Destroyer) with an 8:15 tee time. At 7:30, the driving range was still closed, as was the putting green. Got a breakfast sandwich & a coffee (cafe staff was great) and then waited for an hour to tee off; 15 mins late, not too bad, but was an indicator of what was to come. Took 2:45 to play 9 holes!!! The course had full foursomes on each hole, yet the condition of the course is barely cared for! It is mowed and ALL of the cut grass is all over the course, the rough is DEEP rough & the greens were punched (we were advised in advance). The gopher holes made driving down the middle of the fairway a bumpy task! For as many people that play on this course, it would be nice for a little attention to make is nicer! A Marshall on the course to keep up the pace of play would be nice too!

Navy Course
Great 9 hole course . You get to use all your irons on this course with good hazards to make it challenging but fun. Recommend it for anyone who wants to play a quick good round using all your clubs

Dont believe the course description
In the description states, "this price is good for 9 or 18 holes" thats a lie. when i asked to book my second 9 i was told, "it doesnt say that" im not a liar n you need to update your decription if thats not true. Learn customer service. Besides all that, great course for an easy 9. Just need the pro shop to learn some manners.

Worst pace of play ever
No Marshall. Holes backed up 15 minutes each. We played three holes, got fed up, and left. Pro shop guy said there was nothing they could do about slow players…. Skip this course!

Not So Easy for an "Executive" Course
I've been playing this place almost weekly since last Summer. There are several easy holes, meaning all the par four holes. A few of the par threes are a challenge for me. A couple of them are over 200 yards. The greens are always in excellent condition and pretty fast. Fairways are good too. I knocked it down one star because (1) some of the cart paths are in bad shape, especially between holes one and two. (2) the bunkers are inconsistent as far as the amount of sand there is in each one. Some are OK, some seem like an inch of sand then your club bounces off hard dirt and finally (3) the tee boxes are usually in rough shape. Not level and chewed up. Other than that, I enjoy playing here. The staff is great.
