About
Although Chateau Elan Golf Club & Resort is just 40 minutes from Atlanta, the panoramic views of the north Georgia foothills make it feel much further from the city. The club boasts two public championship courses and a nine-hole course as well as The Legends, a private golf club. In addition to the golf, Chateau Elan is also home to a full production winery. The Chateau Course is one of the public championship golf courses. The layout wanders across 170 acres, winding around a lake and two creeks. Water, not surprisingly, comes into play on more than half of the holes but there are also 87 bunkers strategically placed throughout to watch out for. There is thick Bermuda rough bordering the contoured fairways too. It is more open than the slightly more challenging Woodlands Course, the other public championship golf course.

Nice round at Chateau Elan
Played on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and had a great experience. A little pricey but it was a morning round on a holiday weekend, so not unexpected. Course was in solid shape, greens rolled very true. Pace of play was good & the beverage cart came around probably 5 times during our round.
Best course around Atlanta
First time playing. Course is in great condition.
Chateau has stepped up
The course conditions and clubhouse have vastly improved over the past few years. Price was steep at $130 for one of the first tee times of the day but you get what you pay for as we felt we had the course to ourselves and we flew through the course in right about 4 hours which was awesome!! Will come back 100 percent.
Nice golf club
Enjoyed course even though it was pretty hot for this early in May. Staff very friendly and accommodating

Great track wonderful layout. One of my favorites in north Atlanta.
Great conditions
Course was great,greens roll nice and quick.My only negative is the range ,balls are old and something they find in thier lakes.The hitting ground is all dirt,no turf.Maybe try moving around box.
Better courses for the money
First all, the course is in excellent shape outside of a few holes that are getting repaired. Greens are true and lightning fast. Bunkers have sand in them. That’s the positive. The negatives? Expensive for what you get. There are several public courses nearby that offer equal or better course conditions at 50% of the price. The price gets you nothing extra either. You may see the cart attendant once per round and the “turn” to stop at the clubhouse is between 14 and 15 so too late in the round to stop. Halfway house isn’t staffed. I really have no idea why it is so expensive. Layout is predictable with lots of lateral hazards requiring a perfect drive over or a layup and a long iron in. Plenty of scoring holes. Don’t let the distance intimidate you, Mens tees are a short 6600 with lots of downhill shots.
Golf lover
Very nice course and in good condition.my only issue was the 2 guys working at the counter.I told them who I was and my tee time .they didn’t say a word,just handed me a key.maybe they treat members better but don’t know .great customer service is easy and a must,not an inconvenience!
Excellent Experience!
We very much enjoyed our morning on the course! Overall, the course is in good shape coming out of its winter slumber. Greens are rolling true a tad slower than normal. Fairways are in great shape. A few tee boxes need some TLC to kickstart the grow season.
Well done getting this course in excellent shape. Drivers out for everyone. The fairways are wide open.
