Gilroy Golf Course
About
It might not have a lot of competition, but Gilroy Golf Course dubs itself as the "Best 11-Hole Golf Course in America." Built by local farmers and businessmen in 1923, this unique 11-hole routing east of Santa Cruz features small greens and wide, tree-lined fairways set along the Uvas Valley that has changed very little since its founding. Though not a full 18, the golf course is still plenty challenging, including the 245-yard par-3 8th hole, a scenic tee shot considered to be the course's signature. Gilroy Golf Course has suitable BBQ and outing facilities for larger groups.

Good value
Some holes were under repair but we played 18 holes in just over 3 hours. It's a 9 hole course, so you play the same 9 over again from different tee locations. There are some challenging greens and blind shots. This makes for a good challenge for any level golfer. It was $25 including the cart. Good value for 18 holes
11Hole Course?
Much better course then I expected. The course was beautifully maintained and the scenery was awesome. The only negative was that I booked when the greens were being aerated but for $10 with a cart, its still a great deal.
Thank you for the great feedback! We look forward to seeing you again!
Well maintained
First time playing this course. Good bang for your buck. It is well maintained!
We really appreciate the positive feedback! We hope that you come back soon to see us!
This course is fun
Great value, lots of fun. The greens can be tough when it is dry.
Nice variety of holes. Georgeous vistas. Peaceful surroundings.
This is a fun course for Grandma, Son and Grandson. No rush. People were very friendly. Some challenging greens.
nice course, good value
first time here, enjoyed the round. would like to know the meaning behind white vs black tees, and the sporadic gold or blue tees. (i presumed women and seniors, however they seemed inconsistant, and the white and black exchanged which was the longer so if one's a tournament tee, it's odd that it wasn't always the harder)
a couple greens were rough, one was under repair and using a temporary, but overall they were pretty good, esp. given the drought conditions. has approx. 12 holes, 9 straight through, and if you play the back, some duplicate and there are a few different ones to play on the second run through which looks interesting. staff was friendly and unobtrusive. we played terribly, but that was our fault, not that of the course. :-)
Golf
Good for the money but not for full price. They need to pave cart paths.
What a wait
After waiting an hour and a half for my t time on a pre paid golf now deal. The course was slow due to a tournament that was not poated on webpage. Waste of a Sunday. Reason i wanted to tee of at 845
Bad Day
Need a Marshall to push pace of play. Cart paths are in such terrible shape that you are forced to avoid them. Staff rude. Grill closed at 2:00 on Sunday! Even though staff was available. We will go elsewhere in future.
Good Value
Check-in/starter (Wilson - nice guy) very friendly. Really a 11-hole course - 7 redo holes from different tee box locations Greens are in good shape considering drought conditions. Kind of a ranch golf feel...no homes around - open range/farm land around course - somewhat peacefull.
Gilroy golf
Repaing some greens but it is okay. especially short holes are challenginh to players.
good value, worth a round
I think this is pretty much a locals course judging by the people playing ahead and behind me. The 9 hole cours in the rolling hills of Gilroy is pretty much wide open. You tee off on the back 9 from different tees. Holes 8 and 17 offer views from top of hill and make for interesting challenge. The cart paths are pretty rutted and green 4 was under repair. All in all, I found this a fun course for the average player and worth the money
Only 11 holes
Why doesn't golf now tell us it's 11 holes before we get there. What a joke
What drought?
We chose this course so we could finish before the 49er game... With the exception of a couple of greens (not sure what the cause was; had a temp green on #4), course was in nice condition. Played on a Sunday and finished in just over 3 hours & plenty of time to get home for the game. Very friendly staff.
Last One of the day
Course was Great & the weather was fantastic...This course ALWAYS challenges me & some of the views are fabulous ! ! ! I love Playing here, especially when Its with a Good Deal ! ! !
great 9 hole
Nice place for a 9 hole play if you are trying to have a short play day . A little on the costly side but it's ok on golfnow..
experience
Fast efficient got me out right away. Was done with round in 1 hour 30 minutes and I played with a walking partner.
Nice for newer golfers
This is a good place for those learning the game at a reasonable price. My biggest complaint is that the cart paths are really rough with pot holes.
