Hidden gem...
Always a treat to get a chance to play golf, let alone at a course that fine tunes your iron play! It’s a gem of the desert!
Bump and grind
Be advised this is a poorly kept muni, with lots of total beginners on the course. Greens in poor condition, tee boxes even worse.
If all you want to do is practice your irons, this is ok, Don't worry about putting and chipping, because you won't really know how you are doing.
No sand traps, and water really not in play. Hard to get perspective of the greens with little backdrop and no indicators.
I won't be back.
Love the Walk
Great par 3 with ability to walk for exercise. Some tees are domed and need to be leveled off.
Thank you tsletten for the five star rating and course feedback from your recent visit at The Lights at Indio! We hope to see you again soon this season.
A Great Walk!
I've played this course many times and I keep coming back. It's a fairly easy course....no sand traps and minimal water. I like to walk and enjoy the day and add golf to the mix. A great way to spend an afternoon without breaking the bank!
Thank you Yukoner65 for the five star review and course feedback from your recent visit! We value you as a Lights at Indio golfer and hope to see you again soon!
This course is always terrific and offers great value for 18 holes
I've been golfing here for over eight years and this course rarely disappoints. Whether it's the fantastic and helpful staff in the clubhouse or the shape of the greens I am always happy to golf here. The greens were especially fast on Thursday and combined with the wind it made it a challenge.
Thank you for being a value golfer at The Lights at Indio! We are pleased to hear you always have a great time on the course. See you again very soon!
Pretty decent course!
The course was in decent shape with adequately fast greens and decently maintained fairways. Pace was a tad slow but who cares for $15? Still finished in 3 hours. If I was forced to find a negative, I’d say it has the feel of a 1960’s local “muni”. But hey, THATS WHAT IT IS - with 1960’s green fees too - if you use Golf Now to buy your tee time!
Thank you sdeege for the review and feedback regarding your recent visit at the course. We hope to see you again at The Lights at Indio!
Night golf at it's Best!!!
Enjoyed playing this fun course at night with my friends. Staff was very accommodating and friendly! A+++ to then! Will definitely come back next time I am in the area. Great little course!!!
Thank you dahayden21 for the four star rating and review! We are pleased to hear our staff was great on your recent visit. We hope to see you again under The Lights!
Great Par 3, easy walk
Played course on MLK Day, and it was not busy at all at noon. So pace of play was fast, as did not have to wait at all! Staff were very friendly and helpful, and maintenance workers were very courteous and friendly! They have done a great job on course maintenance, and this was good value fo the money!
Thanks.
Thank you kbscissons for the four star rating and course feedback regarding your visit during the holiday weekend! We hope to see you hit the greens again this season!
Good Value
Nice little executive course and good value for the money. Has all the facilities there and is fun to play under the lights
Thank you Greg7608503 for the feedback regarding your recent visit at The Lights! Hope to see you tee off with us again this 2018 season.
Under the lights...
Walked the Blues (2777) for $22 with 2 nice Canadians in around 3H playing behind a 5some.
Interesting experience playing under the lights. Not a bad par 3 course, three longer holes between 190-230 along with a good mix of shorter holes. I think I used 8 different clubs to tee off with, so a good place to work on different irons on the course.
Humpbacked tees were pretty chewed up. Rough and fairways really do not come into play that much on a par 3 course, but they were fairly lush. No sand traps. The smallish greens putted fairly smooth and medium slow.
Customer service was excellent, they put me off on the back because they had a large group of regulars going off on the front. Decently stocked pro shop, looked like a decent grass range. All in all, better than I expected. Would come back again on an occasional basis.
Hello nickesquire, thank you for your feedback and review from your recent visit at The Lights at Indio. We hope to see you again soon this season.
A Surreal Experience But Worth The Price of Admission
This little course is located in a golf Mecca but does not really fit in with some of the other nearby options. Golfing under the lights is a novelty and you might want to try it if you have the opportunity.
The coarse is in poor condition and the addition of goose poop to the putting surface make taking a drop on the green a concideration. Talking about the greens, they are as slow as I have seen and in very poor shape with lots of dead spots.
Others comment that this coarse is a good value and it is since we only paid $15.00 to play. Who can say they have played under the lights?
The staff on this particular evening left much to be desired, not friendly and seemed distracted. I hate it when I show up to a place and it seems that I am imposing on the staff by being there.
Give it a try just say you have done it but be aware that you are living on the the fringe,
Cow pasture
I’m very poor shape. Bumpy greens and uncut fairways... you get what you pay for...$5 for a pull cart, $15 for golf...
Welcome Back to Indio Lights!
I find this par three course to be like a familiar friend. My early AM tee time allowed me to have no one in front or behind me for a very relaxed outing. The mowers keep the fairways and greens in pristine shape. The varying pin placements keep the course challenging.
I'll be back!
Thank you pklphd for the four star review! We are happy to hear you had a great time on your recent visit. See you again soon!
Great place to work on your short game
Nice place to go and work on your irons and wedges. Great value on golf now, the guy in pro shop was very friendly and offered me an additional 9 holes for free. The only negative is that there isn't any water on the couse. It has a okay driving range also but will play again
Thank you khlamont for the four star review! We are happy to hear you had a great time on the course. Hope to see you at The Lights at Indio again soon!
Relaxing Golf
We love golfing here. We often golf Desert Springs but this course is so nice for of several reasons:
1) Everyone is friendly, including staff.
2) The fairways are narrow which makes it challenging.
3) It is slow paced. No one is telling you "10 minutes per hole"
4) Holes are close enough that if a group is very slow in front of you, you can skip over to the back 9 or front 9 when it is not busy. The staff never seem to have a problem.
5) Priced super reasonably.
6) Lots of benches at tee boxes - good for walkers!
Thank you Mbateman365 for the wonderful five star review. We are pleased to hear you had a great and fun time with The Lights at Indio. Hope you can join us again this season!
Great little walking course
We enjoyed an unrushed round. Greens are very nice.
Thanks KKolkind for the review from your recent experience at The Lights of Indio! Hope you can tee off with us again this season!
Best value in the Valley!
Indio Lights is a terrific value for an extended executive course. Choosing a tee time in the early AM means perfect weather conditions and having the course almost to yourself. It is an excellent place to work on your short game with the bonus of a few holes in the 200 yard range. The greens are well groomed yet challenging to read. I prefer quality and value over glamour.
Thank you Pklphd for the great review! We are pleased to hear you had a fun time from your recent visit at The Lights of Indio! Come back and tee off with us again this season.
Thank you u248846539 for the five star rating and review! We hope to see you again soon at The Lights at Indio this season!
