About
Nestled amongst the gently rolling hills of Rockdale County, Cherokee Run Golf Club lies within the Georgia International Horse Park. Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed the course. Occupied for centuries by the Cherokee Indians, dozens of arrowheads were found in the Georgian red clay as the golf course was being built. The beautiful landscape is covered in granite outcroppings, native wetlands, and dense hardwood forests. The towering trees line the fairways and the steep inclines throughout the course provide fast, undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on six holes at Cherokee Run Golf Club and there are nearly 100 strategically placed bunkers. The course's signature hole is the par-3 third. This challenging hole demands an accurate tee shot in order to safely make it past the sand bunkers that border both sides of the fairway.

Father's Day Round
Hot day for Father's day. Course is in good, not great conditions... a few greens had some small issues, nothing too problematic, and some fairways need more water, but the rain this week will help that. We had fun and enjoyed the day without playing our best. Be sure to be below the holes... tricky reads and fast down grain and down hill.

Is a great place to play but not for beginners it is really tuff greens are great and fairways are great

Enjoyable around of Golf!
If you’re looking for a challenging yet fair golf course, Cherokee Run does not disappoint! Lots of elevation changes, firm fairways, fast, undulating greens - all in very good condition! Pace of play was spot on! Played from the Blue Tees - played just under 6600 yds. Rating 72.8 / Slope 139. Shot 75! Will definitely be back!

Not a bad course
Course conditions were good, greens were rolling well. Only issue I had was paying $40 for a riders fee. Seems pretty steep if you ask me. Also didn’t need an extra comment about bringing a rider and not to do it again from the pro shop staff after calling in hours before tee time to ask what their rider policy was as I know each course is different and was told that it was completely okay. Outside of that course is pretty good.

A good test
Second time playing the course and must say it offered the same stern test . Fairways were good and greens fast and true. Staff were friendly and helpful

Hidden Gem of Conyers
Cherokee run is by far one of the nicer courses in the metro Atl area . Greens are super fast but nice , fairways are in excellent condition right now .

Great course
Loved this course, challenging! Greens were tough, rollled true, some bad spots on them but only on edges. Def helps to have their cheat sheet if you’ve never played here before like myself! Overall liked course and will def play again when I’m in town.
