Cherokee Run Golf Club

Regardless of green fee, CR is the best public "metro" area course. At least east of 85. Then its usually among the least expensive GN hot deals. This course always delivers. Practice Facilities and clubhouse are always on point.

Today's round was not slow but playing as a single, I ended up pairing with another along the way, and then another single before the round ended. I play as a single often so pairing up is not unusual but to happen twice is an indicator that we were waiting a bit too long in between shots.

Course looked great but the greens seemed really slow. Also the sand traps were very inconsistent, and some over eroded but it wouldn't be an issue if I didn't hit in the bunker twice. Still a great day at CR

This course is probably my favorite in town after 4:00 there rates are a steal this place is worth $100 green fee in my opinion great layout brand new gps carts course is in excellent condition at $28 green fee it was the best deal in Golf this place wins

Worth every penny and then some. Got a hot deal for under $30 midday on a Wednesday, but that’s a common hot deal for this course. And the course easily lived up to the rating.

Pros: dang near everything. Quick, tough, flowing greens. Many holes were spacious between trees, but still rewards accuracy as the rough is PROPERLY tough. Good balance of difficulty among par 4s (1 under 300, a handful over 400, and a variety throughout 300 yards). Well placed hazards. Practice space (and quality) before the round. Cheap pro shop. At least 1 water station around hole 5. Attention to detail (they genuinely care to make everything look nice, down to every sign and tee marker). Staff friendliness. GPS carts. Scenery.

Cons: no bev cart (but again, there was at least 1 water station). The GPS carts didn’t have Bluetooth (I’m just being picky trying to find a con now lol).

Didn’t try: any food. Driving range.

I play tournament golf all around Ga, private and public courses. Cherokee run is the best I've played all year.

This is an awesome course, especially for the price. First time playing, so a few holes were a mystery (i.e some blind tee shots, big doglegs, etc.).

Greens were in great condition -- putts actually roll true here which never happens at public courses around ATL. Front nine isn't super driver friendly, but the back nine has a bunch of holes where you can let it fly. Well worth the hour drive outside the city!

Loved this course. In great shape. Greens were perfect, but very challenging - which I love. If I lived closer, I would play here a lot. A lot more ups and downs (hills) than I was expecting. Cool to see the large areas of exposed granite (Literally Stone Mountain) just off several of the fairways. Staff was awesome, practice areas perfect also…. Practice putting green was exactly like the greens on the course, rolled exactly the same.

Saw many unbelievable breaking yet exciting putts in our round. Hope to play here again. Good value.

The course is in fantastic shape. The greens are the best i've seen in metro area and i play twice a week all around the city. Fairways are lush, rough is thick but just shy of being unfair .

Very nice track, greens were still recovering from punching, but rolled nice. The course was challenging enough but not extremely difficult. The scenery was amazing, every direction I looked was a picture.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

I rented some clubs, so I was able to play with some brand new Pings. Definitely, would play it again!

I always enjoy playing this course. The front nine is normally my best side, however this time I play the back pretty well. Looking forward to the next time. The course is always in great shape.

Great layout throughout the whole round. Would be able to get better with repeat play. Fun course and good conditions.

I’ve wanted to play Cherokee Run for a long time, and it didn’t disappoint. The course is in great shape overall, and despite recent aeration, the greens rolled pretty well. Amazing layout with picturesque views from the tee boxes and greens.

Will definitely be back.

My wife & I have played more than 70 different courses in GA and this course is amongst the top 10.

Beside the challenging layout in lieu to its elevational change, slope play and plenty of hazards & sand bunkers, the conditions of the fairways & green are in great condition. I would give an “excellent” rating if the sand bunkers are properly filled with sufficient sand & raked. As single handicappers, we found the “green” very challenging due to its tight slope and fast roll.

Overall, we loved that there are no houses around, it’s very serene, very well maintained and the staff there are very friendly especially Mr Digno the starter.

I love playing this course. It has some very beautiful holes that are fun to play. Can’t wait to play again.

One of the areas best kept secrets. This course is always in good shape from the fairways to the greens but still very challenging.
