About
Nestled amongst the gently rolling hills of Rockdale County, Cherokee Run Golf Club lies within the Georgia International Horse Park. Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed the course. Occupied for centuries by the Cherokee Indians, dozens of arrowheads were found in the Georgian red clay as the golf course was being built. The beautiful landscape is covered in granite outcroppings, native wetlands, and dense hardwood forests. The towering trees line the fairways and the steep inclines throughout the course provide fast, undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on six holes at Cherokee Run Golf Club and there are nearly 100 strategically placed bunkers. The course's signature hole is the par-3 third. This challenging hole demands an accurate tee shot in order to safely make it past the sand bunkers that border both sides of the fairway.

Breezy Day
I live north of Atlanta but always enjoy a hot deal at this course, greens are always quick and and great shape. GPS on the carts is a great feature, very comfy ride too. Had a wonderful time and will be back.

One of Atlanta's toughest golf courses.
Truly one of my favorite courses in Atlanta to play. A tough test of golf. Number 8 is one of the toughest holes in Atlanta.

Great course, tough layout!!
Pace of play could be managed better but other than that the course is exceptional! It is very challenging so pick the tee box you play wisely!! Overall some of the best greens you will play!

Outstanding
Everything from the staff to the food to the golf carts was first class. Thought we were at a country club. The course was in great shape and makes you use every club in the bag. Highly recommended!!

Best "open to the public" 18 hole championship golf course on the eastside of Atlanta.
Great value for the golf experience. Carts are great with range finders and beer coolers. The course plays well. The greens are very receptive with the cooler weather. Just don't get above the whole. The greens can run very fast. Interesting layout and fair. This is a fun course to play.

Challenging but beautiful
Tee to green everything was in great condition. Greens were fast and soft. It’s not necessary tight or long but each hole offers a different challenge. Highly recommend.

Cannot beat this course for the price.
I love Cherokee Run. It is always in great condition and ran professionally. It’s a 140+ slope that is fun to play. Greens are immaculate. Clubhouse is pristine, and the carts are so comfortable and have all the updated features. Only other course that compares (IMO in the similar price range) is Woodmont Country Club in Woodstock.

Cherokee Run not walk
Had fun today. We definitely didn’t Run anywhere. A foursome of walkers held us up most of the day. Luckily it’s was beautiful out, so watching the group ahead of us play wasn’t so bad. I could feel Arnie’s presence around me during some shots. The wind blowing his spirit through the trees, as my ball was knocked down short of the green.Peace
