About
Nestled amongst the gently rolling hills of Rockdale County, Cherokee Run Golf Club lies within the Georgia International Horse Park. Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed the course. Occupied for centuries by the Cherokee Indians, dozens of arrowheads were found in the Georgian red clay as the golf course was being built. The beautiful landscape is covered in granite outcroppings, native wetlands, and dense hardwood forests. The towering trees line the fairways and the steep inclines throughout the course provide fast, undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on six holes at Cherokee Run Golf Club and there are nearly 100 strategically placed bunkers. The course's signature hole is the par-3 third. This challenging hole demands an accurate tee shot in order to safely make it past the sand bunkers that border both sides of the fairway.

Greens and course condition
The greens were extremely fast. The first hole green was virtually unplayable. If you were at the back fringe or behind the green it was impossible to keep the ball from running off the front of the green. The course was wet as well as we've had lots of rain this winter.

Very relaxed day
We felt like the only ones out there. Grass is still dormant and the greens are lighting fast because of that. Even faster than normal here.

Nice but wet
Nice course layout. Hilly. CPOnly for 18. Fairways were soaked. Look forward to playing again in the Summer when dry.

FAST GREENS
Love this course. It was still a little wet but very playable. The greens were in great shape but were running very fast, a couple pin placements were almost unplayable.

Challenging Pins
The greens are receptive, fast and roll true. The fairways were a little wet in areas but overall in solid shape for this time of year. The course was challenging and I look forward to playing again soon.

Great Course!
This course is great! Well Maintained, Staff was great, carts were awesome, conditions were superb for this time Of year! Will be back for sure! Challenging yet still able to grab a decent score! You will use every club in the bag... And it’s an Arnie designed course!!

The Greens are fast and true!
First time playing here and it didn't disappoint. The course had some wet areas which is understandable considering all the rain we have had. The greens are fast and the pin placement was tough. I will definitely be playing here again soon.

1pm tee time slow pace / pin positions are for pga pros
impossible to make an approach shot below the hole..pin positions were very front and impossible to keep on greens if missed. front 9 pace was ok but back 9 was so backed up we had to miss 4 holes to get carts in by 6pm.
fairways were so muddy but that's not the course fault
