About
Nestled amongst the gently rolling hills of Rockdale County, Cherokee Run Golf Club lies within the Georgia International Horse Park. Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed the course. Occupied for centuries by the Cherokee Indians, dozens of arrowheads were found in the Georgian red clay as the golf course was being built. The beautiful landscape is covered in granite outcroppings, native wetlands, and dense hardwood forests. The towering trees line the fairways and the steep inclines throughout the course provide fast, undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on six holes at Cherokee Run Golf Club and there are nearly 100 strategically placed bunkers. The course's signature hole is the par-3 third. This challenging hole demands an accurate tee shot in order to safely make it past the sand bunkers that border both sides of the fairway.

Must play
My second time paying here. Played it in March and wanted to make it back in the summer when the course would be green. Just getting back but the course is still in great shape here in December even with the fairway grasses drying out. Greens in excellent condition and a bit fast. The staff are very pleasant and welcoming too.

the Golfnow rate was the same as the regular course plus Golfnow charged $10 for making the reservation, thus making the golfnow rate more expensive.
I thought golfnow offered reduced rates. I was very disappointed.

Not worth the trip
For 4.7 stars I expected it to be in great shape with awesome views and fun holes. It was in decent shape. The tee boxes are an afterthought. The greens were lightning fast which was great but they were so undulating it was hard to get anything near the whole or even keep the ball on the green. It’s a tough track because I never had a flat lie. Might be better the second time through because you’ll know the landing areas. But for 4.7 stars, I expected more.

Fun but wet
Fun layout. Championship greens. But...always wet, whether just rained or not. Greens take ALL the break, and are lightning fast.

Great Tract
It’s been a few years since I’ve played this gem. Definitely a shot maker’s course. The undulating green make accuracy on the approach shot critical for scoring. Looking forward to playing again soon

King's Gem
This course was designed many years ago by Arnold Palmer. He would be proud of how the city of Conyers has managed this course since taking it over from private ownership a few years ago. You will be hard pressed to find a.public course in better shape than this one. From tee to green, this course is in excellent condition. Greens are large and very fast when you're on the high side of the hole. Regardless of how you score, it will.be a treat to play. One word of caution, some of the low lying holes can get very soggy after significant rain.

Favorite course
This is my favorite course. Not for everyone as it can play pretty difficult, especially if you are not familiar with course. Lots of risk/reward type holes.
Unfortunately I moved to N Ga an no longer play this course as I have in the past ,live well over an hour plus away. Great layout, very friendly staff, and absolutely beautiful course.. Very challenging IMO.,bring your best game.

Pristine golf course
One of the best golf courses I've been to. Greens are well managed and golf cart has GPS. Not overbooked like other golf courses these days.
