About
Nestled amongst the gently rolling hills of Rockdale County, Cherokee Run Golf Club lies within the Georgia International Horse Park. Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed the course. Occupied for centuries by the Cherokee Indians, dozens of arrowheads were found in the Georgian red clay as the golf course was being built. The beautiful landscape is covered in granite outcroppings, native wetlands, and dense hardwood forests. The towering trees line the fairways and the steep inclines throughout the course provide fast, undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on six holes at Cherokee Run Golf Club and there are nearly 100 strategically placed bunkers. The course's signature hole is the par-3 third. This challenging hole demands an accurate tee shot in order to safely make it past the sand bunkers that border both sides of the fairway.

Enjoyed the course
The course challenges all aspects of your golf game. The greens were fast but smooth The course was in great shape and the pace of play was good due to the course not being over-booked.

Outstanding course
If you like generous fairways with quick, true greens and terrain change galore this is your track! Loved the variety of holes and layout. The course is in fantastic shape except for the tee boxes that were flat but in need of some TLC. The staff were exceptionally helpful and gracious. If I'm in this area again I will ensure this course is in my plans.

Very wet, but not from rain. Alot of water sprinkler issues in my opinion. They have lost several tee boxes.

Day off due to inventory at the job Great Day
This Course is one of the top courses I’ve played throughput the years I had the pleasure of playing it he course when it first. Open it didn’t have a clubhouse yet they.l had a trailer I used to work at Golden State Foods and we used to play it once a week on twilight deals .The course has never been a disappointment My friends and Family comes from out of town and can’t believe the price to play the course I haven’t played all the courses here in Georgia but I’ve played a lot of them and I’m saying this I really don’t think it has a public course or a semi private course with fairways and greens that or this nice also I Lake Lanier is kinda over rated when it comes to this course it’s nice though.

Fun course
Some CPO due to heavy rain a couple of days before, and the greens were still very wet and surprisingly slow compared to my previous trip to the course. That said, a fun layout in very good condition. Enjoyable course worth the drive.
