Fun track, decent course conditions, friendly staff
First time playing here and staff was friendly and welcoming. The course has decent fairways and fast greens, although greens have tons of poorly fixed divots so expect to fix your line or hit a bump or two. Pace of play was decent, our group played quick by 20 minutes so we caught up to the group in front of us but only waited 3 or 4 minutes or so.
Overall fantastic value for the price, and the track has a great layout - would definitely play again.
A good place for golfin'.............
Was nice to see Ivanhoe keeping up on making the place very playable. Fairways were good considering the time of year. Greens were green and pretty receptive, still gotta hit em hard to get to the hole. Nice pace on a thursday afternoon, hardly any backup, even on the back side. It's close by and a pretty good deal............

Definitely worth your money!
Cheap tee times for a solid course with solid conditions! Greens are tricky but run very fast & pure! Challenging but fun course and you definitely get bang for your buck

Best condition in years
Actual grass in the fairways. Many signs of actual maintenance. Course is trying and deserves a play.

Good value
I enjoyed my time playing. Fun course design. There where some dead patches in fairways and on some greens, but pretty well maintained compared to some of the other courses in San Diego. Did a lot of waiting at tee boxes, especially on the back nine. Would've been nice to keep a steady pace, but overall a great value.

The Wood
Championship golf course that is affordable. Done a great job on and around the greens as they roll nice and the rough around is cut low. Nice look. This not a luxury resort. The value is in the course, not the amentities. Its walkable as its reasonably flat , has shade trees, and it gets a breeze.. Been in SD a long time and deserves to stay. Support Cottonwood. Were lucky to have such a place.

Tooooooo SLow
I got there and was told groups were making the turn in 2:10 and finishing in 4:30 and thought OK not bad But that was not the truth IT TOOK OVER 5 1/2 HOURS that's way to long for any golf course especially this one
