Cottonwood Golf Club - Ivanhoe Course

Seems like each time I play, the pace is gets slower and slower. NOt incremental, but noticeable. But the value is the best in San Diego for me. Price, location, course layout. Really needs the old driving range back, or similar. Nice putting and chipping areas.

Pre-camp golf outing with my son. Round would have been perfect if not for being backed up and very slow.

The course is worth the money and the greens were in really good shape. Key boxes are a little off but hey good fun altogether

don't be fooled by facilities. course is very payable and very affordable. clubhouse and other facilites have severe maintenance issues.

Greens have yet to be recovered after punching a month ago. - NEED WATER.

What golf course runs out of range balls? It really messed up my game and through me off. The course was in decent shape, the fairways were one of the nicest around. Pace of play is slower than molasses. The Marshalls on this course think they work at Torrey Pines or a PGA tour course. Don’t forget your receipt or the Marshall will hunt you down and think you’re an escaped convict although you paid for your green fees already. I don’t plan on coming back unless this is the only golf course with a tee time available.

This course is just great!!! Pro shop is tiny. Good bar and great course maintenance. Will for sure be back.

We have been coming here for about a couple decades and have seen the many changes over time. We still miss the Lakes Course as an option to play. And we really miss Tim who was our favorite friendly Greeter for so many years.

But, we do not miss all the leaves that used to be everywhere on the ground! The new owner/manager has been doing a great job on keeping the course beautiful and more enjoyable. The tons of leaves are regularly cleaned up so the balls don’t get lost so easily. It was so frustrating. But now, the fairways and tree lines look clean and inviting. And we don’t go crazy looking for our balls! We appreciate the overall upgrading and care of the course. And the great deals available online. Keep it going.

Some fairways not grown in with grass. Greens recently sanded and aerated so putts were slow. Speed was acceptable. It was a little crowded. They provide a military discount so hurrah for that! Didn't take advantage of grill at the turn but recommended to call from #9 tee box to place an order. Long walk to #10 tee box from pro shop. Very pleasant inside and outside staff. Started keeps groups well spaced and fills in less than 4 players with singles. I would golf here again.
