Best conditions in a long while
Actual grass in the fairways! Greens punch still not recovered after 2 weeks.
Another good day
I enjoy Cottonwood Ivanhoe for value and practice. Ofter seems that some golfers are uncouth. Probably because of the inexpensive cost.
Aerated. No warning
Lame that it was full price to play aerated. Should not have been as expensive as it was.
Good for the money
This is the cheapest course I will play. There is grass everywhere, the greens, when not punched, are good. The trees will force you to think and will penalize you if you don’t hit it straight. Certainly worth the $23.00 I paid when walking.
Course conditions ok but awful off-course amenities
The course was ok overall considering the greens had just been punched. Play pace was good, most fairways wide are pretty open; unfortunately the man restroom was disgusting, and the driving range was also in very poor condition. We managed to have a good time despite the struggles with the punched greens. I would recommend this course if you get a discounted rate only, otherwise, there are many better options in San Diego County in this price range.
Unfortunate
They neglected to tell us the greens were punched; Not only that, access to the inside was not allowed;(due to remodeling).I.e., clubhouse, restroom facilities…..with that being said, I would like to cancel my reservation for next Thursday, April 7, due to extremely warm conditions and the above- mentioned.
Suits Me Fine
A variety of holes for distance and playability. Greens are fair and fast and true. Fun track
Great value at an aging facility
Outstanding value for very nice course. Driving range is a joke. Other practice areas are above average. Photo of island green on website is of a hole that doesn’t even exist any more. No drink cart. Buildings are ancient and show it. It’s obvious they put their money into maintaining the course and not the facilities.
If you want an inexpensive but enjoyable golf round, this is it. Just ignore the amenities and you will love this course.

Best deal in San Diego, keep up the good work. Always enjoy the people, course and french fries. There is a course marshal and starter. Cottonwood is getting better all the time.
