Turkey Creek Golf Club
About
Turkey Creek Golf Club in Lincoln sprawls across rolling hills that are covered with mature oak forests. The back nine even closely resembles Germany's Black Forest. The centerpiece of the course is the old granite quarry that was transformed into an expansive lake that comes into play on the third and final holes. The golf course is formidable, testing golfers with blind shots and uneven lies, but the challenges are nicely balanced by long, open fairways. Water comes into play several times throughout as well as the towering trees that blanket the landscape. The course will keep golfers on their toes but there is plenty of visual respite available. Players can often catch a glimpse of the abundant wildlife that call Turkey Creek Golf Club home, including deer, quail, foxes, and of course, wild turkeys.

18th tee box, with a few elevation changes and water on the left. If you feel confident, slug it off to the left and clear the water, putting you in a great position for a second shot to the green Photo submitted by copz1998 on 07/20/2018

The turkeys are out at Turkey Creek!
Great price and course was in excellent condition. Ended up being paired up with another single on the same golfnow price that I was as well as another twosome.
Round went very smooth and fast. We never were slowed down in front nor pressed from behind.
Course was in great shape and provided a great test.
Oh yes, the turkeys were out in abundance on this occasion!!!
They need to change the pace of play
I am sorry to say, the course is so ridiculously slow we teed off at 1:20 and got 12 holes in- 1in dark-I asked about pace of play & staff just lifted shoulders to shrug & said something that didn't include- we need to fix pace of play- if Mackenzie can get in under 4.5- every one should be able to do that pace- period-
love the course
this is a great course with challenging holes and great scenery. very fun to play. the only drawback was that we got behind a very slow foursome and had to wait almost every shot on every hole.
Course is just plain awesome
Course is in excellent condition, Staff is super friendly and the price was the main clicker. We must go back soon.
Course challenging with quick greens and many oak trees
Great maintained course and friendly staff combine for a great value.
Interesting Course
Lots of interesting holes requiring course management skills. Well maintained.
Great course! Very friendly staff.
Great course! Very friendly staff. Can't wait to get back.
Good Place
From the Blues it's a hard GC. Lots of deer and wildlife to see
Combination-style golf course
This is quite a different golf course. Golf courses, to me personally, can be categorized into the following: long and wide, tree-lined and wide (could be short or long), or links-style and narrow (could be short or long). Turkey Creek is a combination of all the above: tree-lined, narrow, links-style, long and short. Each hole is a challenge not because of its difficulty but of its layout. It will make you think of your shots. You will do fine if you can keep it in the fairway. A few of the greens were deceiving in which way it would break but the speed was consistent all throughout. The pace of play was awesome. My partner and I finished our round in less than 4 hours. This was great considering it was a Saturday. This was my first time playing this course and my partner has played it twice in the last month. He said I was lucky that day because of the calm winds. Normally, the wind is a factor. I recommend this course for those who can shape their shots.
nice track, pace of play was a small issue
Good practice facility, friendly staff, course conditions good to great. only problem was pace of play, but in defense, weekend play can expect that.
Pace has been a problem lately
I've played Turkey Creek about a dozen times so far. I had nothing but good things to say about it until the last few rounds, when I began to really notice the serious lack of pace enforcement. The last few times my group has gone out to TC, we've spent over 5 1/2 hours per round, and that's with ordering lunch at the 9th and eating through the turn. I understand it's a public course and that weekend play may be longer than average, but the pace issues weren't due to overpopulation. The problem comes from the marshals inability or refusal to do anything about slow players. A perfect example happened when we arrived at the 14th, and watched as the group ahead of the group in front of ours took over 40 minutes to finish a 110 yard par 3. The group in front of us was even apologizing for the OTHER groups slow play, even though they weren't together, lol. That was the extreme end of how long holes could take, but was far from the only example I could cite. It's hard to keep any rhythm that's built, and starts to put everyone in a bad mood. I'll still play, but most likely only in the early morning or during the week until this pace issue is addressed.
That said, the course itself is really quite spectacular for the money. High level of difficulty if played from the blacks, well manicured and fantastic greens. It's been my favorite course in the area for some time now, hopefully they get on top of the pace issue so others like myself will continue playing there.
Great track
Good challenge, makes you use all the clubs in your bag.
A good round at a good course
Turkey Creek is a well maintained course with decent amenities. A friend and I played their on a Tuesday afternoon and got through it in 4.5 hours exactly. The pace of play was a little slow and there were no marshals on duty. I enjoy playing Turkey Creek because of the challenge the maturity of the trees and the manicured greens present.
It's just as nice to look at as it was to play.
This is a great course to play. Lots of trees so you need to keep it in the middle. From tees to greens, it's a lot of fun.
Great track with interesting holes
Turkey Creek is a really cool track - challenging but not impossible with some great design features. A couple of easy holes to start, which is always great. Back side definitely has some challenging moments. Greens in solid shape and not too crowded so pace of play was not bad when I went. For the price listed on golfnow.com this is an EXCELLENT value.
Really enjoyed this course.
I loved this course, it is beatiful. Enjoyed the challenges. It was our first time here. Staff was friendly and helpful. Even when there were a lot of people on the course it doesn't feel like it because the holes are pretty secluded from each other. We will definitely go back. My only suggestion would be that they need more cold water stations.
This course is one of my favorite courses I've ever played on!!
I have played this course a few times. I never get tired of seeing all of the wildlife . The course is very challenging, but so much fun to play a round. The food and drinks are top notch .. Would recommend it to everyone !!!!
Good times
We played in the late afternoon and had a great time. The course was challenging. There is water on some of the holes and boulders are abundant.
Fun Course
We were looking for a place to play while in Lincoln visiting relatives and decided to play Turkey Creek based on their recommendation. Turkey Creek was a fun and challenging course to play. In addition to the wild turkey that are abundant at the course we saw deer and heron. We would definitely play Turkey Creek again.
Good challenge
Course was in good condition, staff in pro shop was very friendly, staff in resturante was not so friendly. Pace of play was horrible had to wait on every tee box a minimum of 5 min as well on every shot.
