Executive at Las Positas Golf Course

Course really need a lot of update.

Really use to enjoy this course 10-12 years ago.

Staff and Facilities are great but the course itself has fallen into deplorable condition. Lack of maintenance,, poor fairways and greens, lack of carts, and on a side note way way too many geese on course, way too much geese crap everywhere.

I’d play this course sometime ago but now is terrible. Starting with number10 holes is 100 yards par 4. They have to move the tee 100 yards close to the hole because the fairway was under repair. Putting green is like full of sands. Aerated but need to smooth out the sands if you are open for business. Most holes were muddy, blocked and under repair. I’m just stay away for now.

They are over watering causing muddy fairways and carts destroying it. Not maintained needs to be redesigned or it will go bankrupt to build homes.

A lot of fairway repairs, new grass type being installed. This results in ground under repair. Expecting conditions are not gonna be very nice through the fall winter and early spring, hopefully spring and summer of next year the course will be back to much more favorable and normal conditions

Please do not give these people your money. Experience from beginning to end was a nightmare. From checking in with the snobby lazy eyed golf shop guy to every hole having grounds under repair. This club couldnt even get the cart path right lol i practically need a disc replacement from this course and im not even 30. Pace of play was horrible, there was 4 teams on the same hole waiting lol took 4hrs for us to finish the front 9, somebody please close this place down.

Wow, if we had known a weekend here would be like this, we would've went to putt putt instead. First, they were running late on tee times and then had us tee off the 10th hole which would've been fine if the entire course hadn't been completely overbooked and backed up. We sat at each tee box for 10-15 minutes with 2-3 groups waiting the entire day, on top waiting 5-10 minutes after each shot due to groups in front waiting for others...they allowed a fivesome in this chaos! They were reseeding fairways on 5 holes with huge areas that were unplayable, including the entire 1st hole which turned into a 100 yard hole instead. Poor cart pathways with huge chunks missing, no marshal roaming the course to enforce anything, and the entire 18 took 6 hours to play! I will never go back on a weekend and won't be back for a year or two at least; waste of $76 with a cart...

Terrible staff and terrible condition . Dont go here , they charge $69 and the fairways are mushy . . Staff inside are old and snobby

paid 78$ to drive through potholes and avoid mud holes on course honestly should be reimbursed because of course quality but i’ll take the loss. not to mention on golf now it said 58$ and when i got there it was 20$ more. was about to not play at all. anyway would not recommend this course to anyone, you're better off going to the golf course in hercules that is closing down soon.

Pace of play was very slow. Do they put the slowest players in the last group?

The good news is that it was local machine vendors' day with complimentary tastings on most tee boxes.

Arrived at golf course at 12:55 for my 126 teatime. And for the second time the dude behind the counter didn’t want to give me a cart! He said it was because of their policy! This is the second time in three weeks. I’ve had this Golf Now teatime and he seems to have a problem with either that or me. He needs to be fired or take some kind of training. Maybe you had a problem with my color I don’t know.

I have played there many times over the years, but haven't been there in the last 2 years. The fairways and tee boxes have deteriorated.

The course layout is on the easier side. Tees were OK and greens were good. The fairway was passable. Lot of dirt and mud if you fit outside bounds. Not a hugely difficult course. The pace of play was decent. We had to wait but most of the golfers were very respectful in keeping the pace going. High value for the money. If you want a high quality golf course then this isn’t your cup of tea. This is more on economical side and thus have to keep your expectations on the lower side. Also many golfers aren’t pros. So there will be wait on most holes. But you’ll notice that most players waiting and playing are very very humble and nice people. You’ll enjoy making jokes and enjoying a good day of golf out here.

I would give less than one star if I could. Yesterday’s round took a full 6 hours to play! Absolutely unacceptable. Teed off at 10:30 am and didn’t finish until 4:30 pm. Not a single Marshall on the course watching pace of play. They don’t care. They just pack people in and forget about them.

The course is in horrific shape. Dead spots on every hole. I don’t think they know they can buy grass seed. There are also just random spots of flooding and wet ground all over. It’s like pipes burst and they just leave them there to leak water.

Yesterday our group swore to never play there again unless we are completely desperate for a tee time.
