Beautiful bayside course Photo submitted by u000001344650 on 07/30/2018
Love the course
Have not played here for a few years as it was tough to get a tee time. Love the course. The fairways were not in as good a. condition as in the past. Greens were in great shape and I love the fact it's a links course.
The layout is great but the condition has really gone bad! It was one of my favorite places to play but the grass was bad and bunkers as well. The greens were the best part.
Great value, perfect greens
By far the best greens of any public course in the Bay Area.
Best greens in the Bay
Great layout, very flat and walkable with good variety of holes. The best part about Corica South are the greens: huge undulating greens, ball rolls super true, which makes putting and chipping really challenging and fun.
Great course for greens being punched two weeks ago and from all the wet weather must play
One of the best course in the Bay Area little bit slow.pace but worth it
Excellent conditions at an excellent rate!
I happened to find a great deal on this course for a Monday round after weeks of periodic rain storms. Other courses I had played in recent weeks were clearly saturated from the rain, but practically all of the fairways and greens here were firm and in excellent condition. Following our round, we had drinks and and a delicious meal at the cafe.
Corica South Course
The course was in very good shape. No greens appeared to have unrepaired ball marks. The greens are large and most are undulating so practice your ball speed before heading out. Also, the aprons areas are trimmed much wider than other local courses and can easily putt rather than chip from tight lies. Marshals were friendly and appeared frequently, though they could have asked slower groups to let us play through.
At times it was difficult to determine where the greens were. My Garmin was not any help determining where there was standing water. I lost two balls in water collection areas that were not marked.
pace of play horrible , fairways need work
pace of play was horrible for a weekday over 5 hours . Fairways are NOT in good shape at all. The Greens are hard and fast which I like and are rolling fast even for being punched for aerification recently. course was difficult due to the 30 mph winds also LOL
Still Solid
Despite the pricey green fees, this course drains well and still boasts solid conditions (of greens and overall). Not a particularly difficult course, but if your short game isn't sharp you could be stuck on the bogey-train or worse...
Jim's on the course also provides some tasty breakfast burritos and club sandwiches.
All staff I encountered today were friendly and helpful.
Continues to be a solid course in the bay
Forgiving but no pushover, Corica South continues to be a solid offering in the Bay Area. Greens rolled quick and true, fairways mostly good, bunkers good, tee boxes good, rough good.
The overall length plays shorter than the number I’d say since every hole is flat and the fairways are firm (even despite all the recent rains)… but the course has some teeth in places and certainly requires some decent shooting to stay in the mix.
Make sure your putting/chipping is on point since this is likely where you will gain or lose the most strokes out here.
A bit pricey for a flat course that is pretty straightforward however conditions are always good including greens, so it feels worth it to me.
I also like Jim’s on the course, good breakfast burrito and club sandwich… friendly staff throughout today which was nice to see.
Great value with "pay now and save"
What a deal! $38. The greens are the best, and most challenging in the east bay, and the drainage is awesome, correctly struck shots actually roll out, even the day after rain.
Great shape all things considered
Teed off at 7:40 in the morning, and the course was in great shape, with only one hole being cartpath only. With all the rain we’ve had this course has held up amazingly…
