Corica Park - South Course

The redesign is great. This layout is forgiving if you miss it in the right place. The greens were smooth and true. All of the par 5s are birdie/eagle able. The bathrooms at the club house could use a remodel, but everything else about this facility is great.

Course drains well. The course plays well the day after a night's rain. The fairways are nice and wide and undulated. The greens are big and challenging with different levels and undulation. It is a challenging but fun course to play.

I expected quite a bit due to the difficulty of getting a Morning tee time here. Pros: Bunker placement is excellent, especially in the fairways, as there are multiple bunkers to navigate if you’re on the wrong side of the fairway on some holes. Placement is fair, so no worries. Enjoyed the challenge. Course conditions were good overall, though there are very few trees on the course due to it being a links style course. Another big pro was the friendly staff. Great people here. Cons: Don’t expect to get in a round under 4 hours. People that play here seem to be good, and some take a long time. Spacing between groups is good, so only slow players slow things down, not the spacing. I would play again, but prefer Metropolitan or Monarch Bay due to the better price difference for as good or slightly better courses.

Tee time was at 258, didn’t tee off till 315. Already knew how insanely slow the round was going to be. Course is great, and hopefully the times will be spaced out with the new course, but I won’t be coming back because theses guys are putty to many tee times into one day.

Best Muni in the Bay. Greens run true and fairways are in good condition. Can’t wait for the North Course.
