Golfer Reviews
Best Public Course in the East Bay
Greens could use a little more love. Tough to find a tee time (though seems to be improving a bit). Otherwise, what a gem. Best public course in the East Bay, no ifs ands or buts about it.
Good not great
Played today and found the following:
Tee boxes were fine. Some fairways were dried out. Greens were partially punched but some areas were not. This made consistent putting a challenge. Staff was friendly. Afternoon play is much faster than AM. However, the winds come up in the afternoon and this does affect your score. At least for me it did.
A gem of a links style course
A wonderful gem that captures the feel of a true links style course. You must play it for your ball to run, especially on approach shots. Excellent condition but guessing it always struggles to deliver a sub 5 hr round as most choose to walk the course due to its flat topography
Great course
Staff is great and Marshalls do a great job keeping the pace steady! Best track in the bay!
Corica
First time playing here. The next round should be more manageable. Fairways are in good shape and the greens are fast but true. Looking forward to playing here again soon.
Love this course
Beautiful layout. Greens roll so true. Just wish the cart paths were paved lol
Also can't wait til the north course is open!
The greens were at their best!
It's a real treat to play this course before the Commuters tournament because Management takes those already slick undulating surfaces (stimping around 11?) and makes them even smoother and faster. They have to be the fastest public greens in the East Bay (and pretty tough to read).
The fairways (not the usual rye grass) are holding up pretty well during the drought. It's not lush green but tight and playable. It's too bad more players don't know how to replace their divots, but the staff is pretty quick about sand filling.
Weekday pandemic pace of play was good and multiple marshals passed by during the round.
Buyer Beware
Cart rental is a total ripoff, $20 per person for a course that is average at best and not of "country club" quality.
It will be a long time before we go back.
Plus the staff in the club house was very condescending and not customer focused. Its too bad so many of the courses in our area closed in years past and the choices are so limited these days. Avoid this course is my recommendation, over priced and over rated.
Nice course to play golf but...
Its been a while since i played here last. The course was in good shape as expected but the golf fee is a little on the high side
