Monterey Pines Golf Club

Monterey Pines is a great course for the average golfer. I walked the front nine at 11 a.m. and was able to get on immediately. The course is maintained very well by a friendly staff and offers a good variety of holes. In general, the course played a bit on the short side although some of the holes played longer because they are uphill or into a decent breeze. My only critique regarding the condition of the course is that the sand in the bunkers was inconsistent. Some bunkers had excellent sand while others had very little. Overall, a great experience on a beautiful day.

This course is my local favorite. Its an open course that is friendly to novice players. The course is well maintained. A great value!

Players should be advised upfront that the greens have just bee sanded, it would change our decision to play there unless they offers an incentive for the green conditions.

Fun course with some interesting holes.

Price was fair. Would play it again.

Booked a tee time and actually teed off 20 minutes early. A short course that you can play usually between 3--3:30 hours. (2:54) was my playing time! Greens are as better than most on thee more expensive courses on the Peninsula! May play this Friday and bring a friend!

Great course, great round, but our foursome was dogged by 3 groups of two. We let the first twosome play through on number three, but were pushed by the following twosomes. Seriously, if these groups were combined on the first tee, play could be at a more reasonable pace. It seems when two people play they always expect to play through, never mind that when successive groups of twosomes expect that, your foursome never makes any headway.

This was a great course to play and I did enjoy my time there. The staff was outstanding and very helpful. I look forward to playing there again in the near future!

Best valu for the money on the Monterey peninsula.

Fairly short course, no problem to play 18 in 4 hrs.

Well maintained for a municipal course. Greens are smooth but a bit slow. Discount for military or retired or civil.

This was a very nice course. I hadn't played it in over 30 years. A bit shorter than I usually like to play, but the main thing is that I got to hit every club in my bag. Greens were some of the best I've ever played and the rest of the course was in fine shape too. Very hard to find affordable golf on the Monterey Peninsula, so this was a gem.

This is a very nice but small golf course. Yardage from the white tees is 4878. The condition of the course is excellent. Large greens with alot of contour but not overly fast. The staff was very nice. An all around enjoyable place to play.
