A short, fun course. Lots of trees and green grass.
Great time
This course is short and has great greens. We play irons only from the white tees and it's the same challenge you would get from a par 72. It also helps the ego when you shoot lower numbers.
Fun Course and Great Value!
Fun course! Greens and fairways in great shape. Super value for the money.
Great coarse the walkers are slow and the greens are quick and overall great place to play
Nice easy course
Really enjoy this course. I enjoy it because I have hip and knee problems and it's realivly flat. Polite, kind and courteas staff as well.
Great value, good course for novices to intermediates
This course is shorter than many of the other courses in the area, but still provides a good experience. By no means an executive course, it offers some tough holes and some forgiving ones. Accuracy is rewarded, and absolutely required in a couple of cases. Great prices for 18 holes with a cart can be found, making this a great value. Course is mostly flat, so walking should not be a challenge if you desire. Worth trying.
BEst Kept Secret
MOnterey Pines is a well maintained course and not well known on the peninsula of GC! I'll be back!! Some easy holes and some challenges!
Greens need a redesign
The only flaw of this course I have are the greens which I once considered to be the best outside of Pebble Beach have now gone to trash. Half of them were still rolling really well. However I found crab grass on some of the greens which is disturbing considering this course for its value I loved. I hope that we can change these beloved greens. Also the cart drive to number two was ugly because all I saw was weeds. Considering Monterey is a top golf destination worldwide, I believe you should put some poppys or sunflowers to freshen the course up at least. Does not take that much money folks. All in all just those improvements and this will become a top notch course to bang your buck.
Playing the Pines
Lucky for me I'm at two younger golfers who are local. Course knowledge is important because the water that comes in the play. He also help me with club selection. I scored in the average score on the course I've never played before work because of this.
Great Golf, Value and Your Supporting the Troops!
Hidden Gem of Monterey Peninsula Golf. Great views, fantastic staff at US Naval Postgraduate School's MWR Golf Course. Open to the public this super course is an opportunity you should not miss!
Fun course

Monterey's Secret
A pleasant surprise. the course played well with some intriguing holes. following the course pattern was at times a bit challenging. For the price one great deal!
Best greens in Monterey Bay Area
This is by far one of the funniest courses in Montery bay and the best greens ...back to back par 3s and some short driveable par 4s for the big hitters ...
Awesomeness
I love playing here, staff is super friendly and knowledge about the course and golf. I have played this course plenty of times and never gets old.
