We played hickory sticks from the whites.
Not a long course, but the layout and design is
interesting. We enjoyed the afternoon.

Staff is helpful and friendly.

Course was in excellent condition every time we've been there. Pace of play was great. Can't wait to play here again

Great course not only in value but layout as well. Short but greens are very tricky. Kept in great shape by maintenece guys especially during a major drought.

Nice little course, not too demanding. Conditions were good, as was the weather. Pace of play was "great", especially for Monterey area.

A very nice and leisurely friday afternoon. We walked the course with little pressure to rush and enjoyed gorgeous central coast indian summer weather. Greens are in great shape and the fairways aren't bad either, considering the water shortage.

This course has it challenges some water hazards and sand traps just infront of the bunkers. The course is well kept . Greens are fast and challenges ones putting skills. Over all I would recomend this course to anyone that loves the game of golf. Monterery Pines has a nice Grill for lunch just before you go and hit the links. Weather was excellent the day we played .A real nice get away .

course pace was good, but draught evidence everywhere. greens are maintained well and still challenging.

Always have a great time playing this course, they did a great job when they remodeled and rebuilt the course, it's challenging and forgiving for all levels of golfer, the fees are very reasonable and it's time and money well spent I especially like the yardage display on every cart .

Whenever we're in town, we like to play this course because it is the best value in town for golf. We can count on the course being in good condition and the weather is usually perfect. Thank you for keeping the prices reasonable and the course accessible to people who cannot afford some of the other courses in Monterey, but love to golf.

I was impress that the condition of the course was still in good shape considering it's in a drought period. Well done by the staff.

This is an interesting and challenging course despite its short length. The greens are excellent and the overall condition is surprisingly good for the severe drought in this region. I played this years ago before it was remodeled and it's far better now. The surroundings aren't great but it's a much better course than Pacific Grove. Public golf around Monterey is not great, and mostly overpriced, but the bang for the buck is outstanding here.

PRICES are going up we don't play the course that much anymore. We play Salinas Fairways now very good course and a lot Cheaper.

When we switched to the tenth hole a group was either put in front of us or jumped, and we were waiting time after time until we jumped ahead a hole.. I believe you can play all day with just the cart fee for each round if you are using a cart. It was a 100 in San Jose, and only 80 in Monterey. It was good to escape the heat for the round of golf. My awakening that I tried from the Golf Channel ... one of the older golfers ... may have been Furyk ... says bring the club back on the target line, and return on the target line as much as possible ... worked for me with better ball striking.

This really is the best value in the Monterey Bay Area. It is a pretty course, though not as striking as the big-dollar resorts right on the ocean. I forgot there aren't any drinking water stations on the course so make sure to bring your own water out there, especially on the rare hot day. What a great place to golf and it is affordable, even on a teacher's salary, especially twilight rates if you can hustle over after work.

Course was in good condition, great weather. I love to play here because it is a fast track. Staff is is very helpful and they always try to accommodate if they can. I will return......

Short course but don't let that fool you. Still have to hit good shots and the greens might be one of the best on the peninsula.

The fairways and greens are in excellent condition. Although the course is a bit shorter than most, it's still a challenge for one of my meager golfing ability

Excellent value. I play here often to straighten out my game and get a confidence booster. Fairways are in great shape.

This course has great greens. They roll true and surprisingly fast. It's a short course, par 69 but has its challenges.

Well worth playing.
