Monterey Pines Golf Club

We had a great time at the Pines course. Great shape and fun to play....we will be back!!

My wife and I came down the Monterey for the weekend to just hang out and play a round of golf. This course was in great shape. The greens were fast. The employees where very nice. Definitely would play here again.

Challenging for an intermediate golfer, but enjoyable if you don't mind airplanes taking off overhead. Front nine much more fun and picturesque . Golf Now rates super but $17 for a ride along is just plain gouging.

This course has it all a must for all golf nuts like me!!!

This is a short but fun course. We teed off at 12:20 and finished in 3 hours. Course was in good shape although the greens were recently sanded they all rolled true.

good course to play and work on your iron play. the course is well maintained the pace of play was a little slow for a course this size (4 1/2 hours)but overall very nice.

Course was in really good shape. Pace of play was good food was really good and staff was fantastic!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our round at Monterey Pines. We were a twosome behind a very slow foursome but the weather was PERFECT and we very much enjoyed playing a shorter course. Short but with plenty of challenge, at least for us. We will DEFINITELY play this course again when we are in the Monterey area!

A great course to play if you want to feel like a pro. a shorter course that enables you to be able to reach the greens in regulation, with good shots. And then again, has challenges that prevents you from doing so. Had a career best 78 there, and also have shot 92 .
Course is in great shape and the staff is super friendly. Good driving range, clubhouse/pro shop and dining area.

GREAT for military sine it is a Navy course and they provide super military discounts. Even as a civilian, a great value!!

Very enjoyable for a vacation round of golf. Food was terrible!

The course was like a muni course but very short,there were a couple interesting holes but nothing that would possibly make me want to drive that far again for.If it was your backyard course sure it would be ok to play to practice on,in good condition,greens ran fairly well and the carts do have GPS.It is right next to a jet runway and also on the other side the fairgrounds so noise could be an issue for some...I don't really care though I listen to music when I play.

Not too difficult that makes scoring a little easier

Went there while the kids went to the Aquarium. Great place to get in some golf. Really enjoyed playing there and would play there again.

Great course to work on your game and enjoy being on the course. Plays on the shorter side but you can still hit driver on most holes

Easily walkable fair test of your golf skills.Greens roll smooth.I suggest checking Monterey fair ground event schedule before booking your tee time.We had to endure deafening loud droning bad music the whole day.

This is awesome course for the average golfer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The course is great and in awesome shape. The grill and bar were great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone who finds themselves in the area, you need to play this course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This course is an exceptional value, I'll play again and again!!!

This is a fun track to play, in nice shape too, the greens roll true and offer a bit of challenge. The pace is a bit slow, but hey, your golfing so it's all good.

There was no notification on golf now or at Monterey Pines that all the greens had been recently punched. I'll know to ask in future, but some notice would be appreciated after driving an hour each way to find lousy putting surface.

From the minute you enter the pro-shop to check-in the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It is obvious they take great pride in the course. We asked one of the grounds keeper about some construction going on around the course and he gladly explained the changes being made. I would go back there anytime, and I will.
