About
Situated within the Oakland Hills, Lake Chabot Golf Course offers stunning views that stretch across Oakland, Bay Bridge, and the Lake Chabot area. The course has been a local favorite since it first opened in 1932. Slight changes have been made over the years to improve the layout but it has always maintained its playability. The terrain is hilly, which makes flat lies hard to find. Accuracy and precise shot placement will get you far. The stretch of holes from the 15th to the finish has the best scenery on the golf course. From the risk-reward 15th hole, you can see all the way to San Francisco. The unique final hole is a par 6 that plays to a whopping 673 yards from the back tees. It's a straight, downhill hole with a memorable view.

Not for a beginner!
The weather was a big factor, cold and windy but clear!
nice grrens
greens fast but fair... some fairways brown... but around greens just fine.... windy early, calmed down on back 9.
Veterans Day
Course in great shape. Pace was excellent. Most of the greens are excellent. #9 needs some attention. Overall great day.
Friendly staff, fast pace
The greens were punched but weren't notified by Golfnow. Can't complain too much since the price was so low. The fairways were ok but the roughs were dried. Finished under 3.5 hours, fantastic! Staff is always friendly.
Good layout but Saturday golf sucks
Great layout, it’s a lot of fun when u think of the holes u played. Course greens are very slow except for the really slanted greens. Course is not in good condition, patches of dirt everywhere and discolored fairways, but layout is fun. Don’t know if there was a 20 min wait on every shot due to over booking or just Saturday golf, left early because I couldn’t handle the wait, food with great though, hot dogs and burgers are amazing after hole 10 or 11.. all in all.. if I didn’t wait such a long time, I would play again because I feel like I can score well there, but I don’t see myself coming back

This course was in great shape, very fun course, this course was a little “hilly” but overall amazing and in good condition

First time in three years
Finished in 3 hours and 45 minutes, fantastic. People were great. The course was a bit dried out but the greens were moist and a bit slow but otherwise in good condition. This course has some very strange layout and extremely hilly so walking is not recommended. Elevation changes are pretty extreme with many steep uphill approach shots. Even push cart seems arduous. Unless you have a sherpa, get a cart.
Not for the faint of heart
Played in 2.5 hours, staff very customer service oriented. Not typical layout. Greens ok rest of course not so much. Not a course for you if you spray or afraid of uphill/downhill/sidehill stances. Also not for you if you can’t carry at least 150 yards. Glad I played but won’t be coming back
Lake Chabot Labor Day
I played Lake Chabot on labor day. This is a fun course that is much different than your typical muni. There is alot of slope on each hole. Tee shots can be forgiving as it is pretty open but you will be challenged if you don't hit the fairway. Fun course!
Nice course, great deal
Had a great deal at GolfNow where I pay $25 to play a round with $20 back. I was paired with couple people that play the course more often, they really helped me to navigate this golf course.
I enjoy my time there, will come back soon.

I had a very enjoyable late afternoon round with a couple of novice golfers... 18-holes in 4:15 playing behind a fivesome that had two women... Course is very hilly but open for the most part... Great views of the nearby foothills... Greens soft with few weeds... Best $25 I’ve shelled out for anything in awhile!
Great Hill Course
It’s in better shape than years ago. Greens are nice. Good lies in the fairway. Couldn’t ask for more.
