Lake Chabot Golf Course - Executive Par 3 Course
About
Lake Chabot Golf Course overlooks Oakland and the Bay Bridge from its lush rolling hills. There are two courses available, one full-length championship layout and a nine-hole, par-3 course. The longer golf course has been a local favorite since it first opened in 1932. It is known for having one of area's most memorable finishing holes, a par 6 that stretches to 673 yards from the back tees. Lake Chabot's short course provides the same risk-reward style of the original course but on a smaller scale. This par-3 course is also not as difficult, making it a great option for juniors and families, and it is also the perfect spot for beginners to get in some good practice. The views on the Lake Chabot short course are just as stunning as on the long course.

Lake Chabot executive course
Weather was great, however we booked the tee time on golf now and "first tee" did a shotgun start right before our tee time. Very slow play and the course had "Frisbee golfers mixed in with regular golfers"
NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE....sadly, the week earlier everything was great with no issue's
You get what you pay for!
Well, it cost $10. Unbeknownst to us we booked our round on a par three course and a short one at that. I think it had one hole over 125 yards. Some of the greens were aerated and the tee boxes were so beat up they were 80% sand. Even a range matt would've been better than what we were left to play off. California has been through a drought the last few years so I'm sure the golf course market has been feeling that. The course also doubles as a frisbee golf course which was interesting. Wouldn't play again
Practice your short game
Great course to practice your short game. Par 3 course mostly using an 8 or 9 iron to tee.
Too short
This is a really short course. Not much fun or challenge.
Little course….with some teeth
Great little course, you have to walk…some steep elevation changes……small greens w/ slope...thick rough…..perfect practice course. 9 holes $10….cant beat it.
This was my Grandfather's course!
I enjoyed my short round for $5. It was more about the opportunity to play on the course my Grandfather played for years before he passed in 2010. Thats when I picked up the game and fell in love with it!
a lot of topography
good value for the money - very convenient - no rush
Very nice excecutive course
If you do nit mind waiting until early after noon, Golfnow frequently have super offer for the 9 hole course. Short and challenging, not seeing other golfers around made for a great time with my wife!! She also had fun!
Course was in good shape but first tee event
The course was in good shape and the greens were much better than similar 9 hole courses. Got stuck behind a group of guys just there to drink and smoke so pave was extremely slow. Also there was a first tee event going on so holes one and nine were being used and we were told to start on two and make our way around. By the time we got to 9 there was a 2 group backup waiting to play. Not a great experience but course was in good shape and seems like this was not the norm. Would try again
Club Packing Walking Course
1st time playing this course, I've played the 18 hole course many times. This is a walking course, be prepared to back pack your clubs (lighten the load), this is a hilly course with some steep climbing holes, the longest is 162 yards. Wonderful course with some spectacular views, not only good golf but great exercise.
