Originally designed by Chandler Egan in 1932, the first nince holes takes you through the forested areas of Pacific Grove. Egan's nine takes you through an inland terrain and reflects much of the charm of an English rural course done in the old style.

The back nine was designed by Jack Neville, the original designer of the Pebble Beach Links. It opened in 1960, and is laid out in true links design over dunesland that approaches the sea.

Over looking the course is the Point Pinos Lighthouse. Built in 1855, it is the longest continuously operating lighthouse in California. It is a historical sentinel and picturesque landmark of the golf course.

A scenic tour of the dramatic coastline provides views of Lover's Point, Point Pinos, Crespi Pond and the natural dunesland at Asilomar. You will be enchanted by the abundance of natural wonders such as the plentiful Pacific Blacktail Deer, seals, sea lions, sea otters, pelicans and gulls.

Great back 9 views, disappointing round of golf

Front nine is nothing special, back nine is entirely different golf course, great views and challenging holes. The day we went no carts were allowed due to excessive rain (understandable). The course was short on push carts and we had to wait over an hour for other players to finish their rounds so we wouldn't have to carry our clubs. The course didn't contact us to let us know about the no carts even though we paid a cart fee (was NOT refunded).

Fun Golf Outing

February round so temperatures are still a little low and recent rain had the course a bit soggy. But the round was very fun and we had sun at least half the time. The price was an exceptional value, especially during AT&T Pro-am week. Recommend to any that have not yet played this course.

This is such a great course option, surrounded by trophy track courses! Fantastic Back 9 that really gives you the Pebble Beach feel in Monterey.

The course is just a fun course to play, and in great condition considering the high volume of play they get daily. Sneaky tricky greens.

Play this course every time I am in town. A fun course, great views, excellent value. My wife is new to golf and was stressed about playing with another twosome. Even though the course was busy the staff made the effort to get the 2 of us out by ourselves. Really appreciate that they did that.
