Pacific Grove Golf Links

Not sure why the course is so heralded, to be perfectly honest. It was okay to play, fairways along one another, different styles of design from the front to back and a par 3, tenth hole that felt like an afterthought. The poor man's pebble was simply unremarkable, given the moniker it has held. Three links style holes near the water just aren't enough to warrant a better review. Waiting on every tee box, once with two groups waiting, just isn't that fun.

Th front nine is an out and back with not much to recommend it...the back has amazing whew of the ocean and the bay. Because of its location, it is busy with people who are just sightseeing and don't think a lot about the golfers so they may just walk across the fairway! The course itself is in pretty good shape and was fun to play...just wish we hadn't had to wait for so many shots...

A fun course to play because of the location and views, especially on the back 9. However, the greens and bunkers were in rough shape.

No warning the greens had been top dress. with sand ... other then that it just a average golf except for the stunning ocean views

Back nine has great views of the ocean. If you have a chance to play Pacific Grove you should experience it. Pace of play is slow - friendly staff.

You start out with 8 warm up holes in the calm wind and then bam! Game time a 225 yards par 3 right into a 2 club wind. Once you pass or fail that test, you move to the back where you get a 9 hole sample of playing the British Open! Awesome good times

We got really lucky on the weather,it was perfect,we teed off at 9:50. It was around 65 degrees and there was no wind,the front nine is played around huge trees and beautiful houses surround the course,you will see deer on the fairways.The back nine is more like a desert course played next to the ocean off of 17 mile drive,the views are breath taking and a little bit of a distraction.The course is in pristine condition,and the greens are flawless,the greens are pretty slow compared to what i'm used to.Love this track.

Really nice day hardly any wind!! Good holes and some bad holes! Typical round of golf! Course was in good shape....

Started off a bit cold and slow but warmed up and picked by the 7th hole. Breeze plays on every hole adding a bit of challenge to an otherwise fairly easy course. Loved the back 9 as all the holes are right on the ocean.

Restaurant didn’t get my order right in the AM, and then closed early in the afternoon so can’t say I had a good experience there.

Course is located in great area. Not too challenging tee to green. Greens were super tough. I was the first group out and thought they'd play slow. WRONG. Like glass. If you miss the cup your looking at a tough putt to save decent score. I'm a pretty good putter but the speed and rolls were brutal.

Scenery is awesome. Deer, nice trees, and of course the cliffs/waves/ocean.

Fun par 70 course with very quick and sloppy greens that make up for length when scoring.

Pacific Grove Golf Course is in this area, known as the poor mans Pebble Beach. On the back nine there are sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, challanging golf holes and some of the most breath taking views on the Monterey Peninsula. A can`t miss place to play a round of golf. And the front nine has its challanges also. Very wooded dogleg holes and back to back par 5`s. The greens were in great shape. Great day of golf.

Great view and the course layout is great for all age and for the ladies my wife did not lose her interest

An exceptional day as far as weather 70 degrees, crystal clear and no winds. Rare for Pacific Grove, so it was an excellent round! Great course layout and pace of play was good. 5 stars! Beautiful!
