Pacific Grove Golf Links

PG Golf Links is my home course, and I love it. During the summer months, expect it to be cloudy and cool, maybe a little misty in the early morning. The front nine takes you inland highlighted by back-to-back par 5's (holes 5 and 6) and a long par 3 into the wind (hole 9). The back 9 is why people call PG the poor man's Pebble Beach. It is an oceanside trek with spectacular views throughout. There is currently construction work putting in a reclaimed water system, but it has not interfered with any of the 10 rounds I have played there this summer. The full track will make you use most of the clubs in your bag. I suggest going early as the pace of play can slow down as the course fills up. Also, walk the course and enjoy the beauty of the back nine.

The course is very beautiful. It is quite challenging. The driving range needs work. We had a very pleasant day and we will be back.

Best value on Monterey Peninsula. Always enjoy playing there.

Our group of four teed off at 12:30 and proceeded along very quickly through the first six holes. After that, we had a wait on every tee, and most every fairway, too. The slow pace of play remained through 18.

The course was in very good condition except that the greens were like a pool table or a slate table top. Nothing would hold -- adding extra strokes as you might imagine.

The course was amazing for its price highly recommend to all golfers of all levels ! Great views well kept course:)I am a beginner and the course was a little difficult for my skill level but amazing experience. My significant other is a advanced golfer and really enjoyed playing the course.

Beautiful layout with many holes having very close ocean views... waves were awesome. Very friendly and helpful staff.. we had to rent clubs and they were great.. would definitely play again!!!

Course was in a very good condition. First 9 holes parkland, back 9 holes typical links golf with great views. Would really recommend and play the course again.

WOW for the back nine, a slice of what Pebble Beach looks like for scenery for which I will never see.

Front nine ordinary at best, play here if you are nearby. I drove 200 miles round-trip just to say I played on the Monterey Peninsula and the back nine made my trip worth it.

Back nine are overwhelming! Typical links golf. Would really recommend.

This is the value course in the Monterey Peninsula that you have heard of. For me, there are two golf courses. This was once a nine hole course and if it was the back nine, then I wonder why they built the front. If it was the front nine first then they should be commended for building the back.

The back nine is pure fun. There is the usual eye candy, but the holes move in all directions so when there is a wind, you get the joy of seaside golf. This nine is worth the greens fee.

Sometimes you get what you pay for and considering the neighborhood you get more here. Walk if you can. The staff is nice, the food is even 1/2 the price of other courses. The restaurant is scenic and good.

If you are in the area, this is a great place to start. In fact, come early or stay late to enjoy the beaches. As beautiful as 17 mile drive and they are free. Great value all around.

Really fun course especially the back 9, along the ocean. Greens were recently punched so the greens were bumpy but in a week it should be perfect.

Very fun course with amazing views! Course was just aerated but was fine. Not too challenging, made it very enjoyable. Will definitely play it again!

This course has becoming one of my favorite golf courses! Great value with the nine holes with ocean view!

The course is fun to play on, the back half has great views. They have new golf carts and great service.
