The course is much better conditions now. They keep improving every time I go back and play
Cart Path Only should be on the listing ....
Had to quit after 9 as the entire course is cart path only. When I checked in no one bothered to say anything, I didn’t see a sign about it. I can’t do that much walking and 9 with all the hills was too much walking. No way I could have finished 18.

Old course, good value, lots of work being done and needed
Problems on many greens and many fairways where maintenance is being done - means sand on the greens and long uncut grass on the fairways make for a difficult round. I’m sure this’ll get corrected over time.
But as always it’s a great value to play Summitpointe and the views are always spectacular for being inside a big city

Played as a 2some on a Monday. Very windy, not many other reservations and pro shop allowed us to get out early, always a plus. Summitpointe is a challenging course for higher handicaps. Lots of elevation changes and many fairways are canted towards ponds and a stream/creek that runs through the back 9. Great panoramic views of the South Bay area from some tees & greens. Have only played here a few times. Earlier visit, the rough was really long and thick so lost quite a few balls. Maddening but keep it in play already! Today they had shaved the rough pretty well so it was less penal. Really enjoyed the course, greens were in great shape. Will be back!

A balanced course
It was nice to play on Sunday with balanced course that requires good control of various clubs.

Great design
First time playing here. The layout was awesome, w/ variety of up/down and short/long holes.
Particularly liked the back 9, makes you forget you are in the middle of the bay area.
Worth trying if you haven't played it yet!

So slow
Played in 5.5 hours. Super muddy. Anything hit off the fairway was lost

It was ok
The course was like a wet sponge... total mess which made playing hard. I imagine when the weather is dryer it would be beautiful.

Much better green condition
In less than a month time, the green conditions are significantly improved. Fairway condition are good except some wetness due to recent rain. Along with the recovering of greens, this course is highly possible regain perfect condition in near future.
