Dubsdread Golf Course
About
Dubsdread Golf Course is a popular choice for beginning and intermediate golfers. Designed in 1923, it is the oldest public course in the Orlando area. The course is tight with a short, traditional layout that features "postage stamp" style greens that are heavily bunkered. There are also elevated greens that are slightly sloped. Dubsdread Golf Course's fairways are narrow and there are also water hazards that come into play on some holes. One particularly difficult water hazard comes into play on the 12th hole, which is a par 3 that requires a tee shot to a green that is well protected by bunkers.

Flawless as always
Course is in flawless condition per usual. Greens were smooth and fast.
Excellent Public course
First time playing here and I have to say it was beautifully maintained. Course was set up to be a bit challenging with tuff pin placement on the greens. Be prepared to humble yourself. Handicap is higher here than most places. Would still highly recommend. Great course for the price!
Love this course
Hubby and I have enjoyed this course for years. We snagged a hot deal and played for next to nothing. Staff is super friendly. Course was in great shape considering we hadn’t had rain recently. Great course and great food.
Nice greens - Goo Value
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were worried since they had aerated recently, but the greens were actually the best part of the course. Good value for the course!
Great value
First, let me say as you will see in just about every review the staff is over the top. Probably one of the nicest customer experiences that I think you’ll have any course in the greater Orlando or central Florida area.
Even though fairways had been aerated, it really didn’t impede upon your play or where the ball would lie. The greens are in spectacular shape, even though we haven’t had the typical afternoon rains. The course actually felt like they had been overwatering due to the aeration of the fairways. You still enjoyed a good off of a drive and the greens held very well.
If there was one negative to the entire course was the pace of play. Although we started off with a twosome in front of us and we were a foursome, we didn’t really catch them until probably the third hole at that point we realize that there were two groups of older ladies that were playing in front of them. I never saw a Marshall or staff. Member asked them to pick the pace of play up, they felt like they needed to put every single shot out and in one instance as we were stacked up on a par three they literally pulled out a measuring tape and measured how far one of the balls was from the hole . I certainly in love competition when playing with your friends however, these ladies should’ve let at least the twosome go through. If not, our group go through they held us up from hole four all the way through to 18. We did mention it to the staff that they needed to try pick the pace play up. I think that that fell kind of on deaf years. I believe these women were Locals that played there all the time and they didn’t want to poke the bear.
Overall, this is a great course. It’s a hidden gym in Orlando and I hope the conditions will maintain through the summer because I look forward to going back many times.
