Dubsdread Golf Course
About
Dubsdread Golf Course is a popular choice for beginning and intermediate golfers. Designed in 1923, it is the oldest public course in the Orlando area. The course is tight with a short, traditional layout that features "postage stamp" style greens that are heavily bunkered. There are also elevated greens that are slightly sloped. Dubsdread Golf Course's fairways are narrow and there are also water hazards that come into play on some holes. One particularly difficult water hazard comes into play on the 12th hole, which is a par 3 that requires a tee shot to a green that is well protected by bunkers.

Not bad but could have been better!
We booked a really late tee time! 6:40pm to be exact drive about 30-40 minutes to get there in hopes to find an amazing course that was pretty silent at that time. We arrived to find Golf practice had just started back up to a of people and walkers. I had my stuff ready to go as a single and a group of 4 rightfully so had an earlier tee time but instead of letting me go ahead I had to wait on them every hole for about 5-10 minutes before they even drove from the tee’s. Not necessarily their fault as they had a threesome walkers in front of them. The course is tight and challenging and in good shape, the gnats we way over bearing and to top it off the community walks this course so at one I point I was ready to hit my approach and in the middle of my swing an older couple popped out of the woods looking for lost golf balls and then on next hole a man and wife and their baby were walking along cart path while I was getting ready to drive? Anyways it could be pretty awesome but just these things hindering! Do better you have a nice course.
Played while greens aerated
Played the course while greens aerated, course was in good shape and greens were not bad so had a good day golfing with the lower rate
Always a favorite!
Although I was surprised to see some areas being aerated with out an alert on golf now most of those areas didn’t really come in play. (I would just call before hand next time to confirm course conditions) But it’s still a course that’s always in great conditions with a nice layout I love all their par 3s. My favorite part about this course is how friendly all of the staff always is, Herman in the pro shops is always a happy face to see who is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Out of the many courses in central Florida this is one of the only one we go to bc it is consistent in great conditions, pace of play and fun to play!
Hard but nice
My experience at this course was ok. I got a great deal on golfnow, so for the rate i paid it was good. At the regular rate probably not. Clubhouse was hard to find we parked on the other side of the parking lot, so had to walk a good distance to the entrance. The kid in the proshop did not look happy to be there, and he didnt seem like he wanted to help or talk at all. We couldnt find the bar to buy beer before the round so i went to the clubhouse and again the kid was short with me. The course was nice, the foursome 2 groups in front of us was super slow, took us almost 3 hours to finish 10 holes. So no marshal and no beverage cart out there was a damper on the round. The greens were fast and unpredictable. Very hard to read, didnt break much. The course layout was interesting but very hard. Thin fairways and small greens. If it hadnt been for the kid in the proshop and the slow group that dragged the round out for almost 5 hours, and no beverage cart i think it would have been a better experience. Overall not a bad course, just hard.
Fun but very tight
Great course, great location, just need to be able to hit your spots.
Great fun Course
Lot of fun, tight and challenging, slick green, ball role very true, but to add a putting challenge, look at the direction of the grain, it can get you😊
