Situated within the Santa Ana Riverbed, River View Golf Course is conveniently located just minutes from Disneyland, Anaheim, and Long Beach. The course's design intertwines with the river, providing challenging hazards on several holes. The narrow layout also features elevated greens that rarely offer a flat lie and are fiercely guarded by sand. Accuracy is a necessity throughout this golf course. Although it offers a fair amount of challenges, there is also ample room off the tees that makes the course more accessible for beginners. River View G.C. is also popular for its practice facilities, which include a driving range with targets and the county's largest putting course. While the other facilities may be modest, River View offers an affordable game that is one of Orange County's best values.

Challenging course for beginner
My first time playing was very fun, but there's lots of opportunities to explore some hazards and trees off the tee box. It's a unique layout, with fairways often hugging the river canal so there can be a lateral pitch to add some difficulty, along with the elevated greens. Overall the quality of the fairways and greens were nice. The pace of play was a little slow but there was a marshal driving around to keep an eye on it. I would definitely come back again.
Don’t come to Riverview
I like this golf course. I can book a tee time almost any day of the week. The course is laid out following a contour of sandy river bed. Some players don’t like the layout, but I find it challenging and fun. So let’s keep it a secret. Don’t tell anybody 🤫
Excellent budget course
Too many golf courses offer hot deals and then you get to the course and there's a up charge that equals the difference of the discount. Normal reservation comes with a golf cart. Hot deal reservation means you share a golf cart or pay extra to have your own which equals the normal rate for a round.

Fun Track
Great Sunday round, prefect weather and the course was in great shape, overall positive experience. Tight course in some areas but strategic netting helps offset the crossfire concerns.
Lost time
Pace was really bad. Course was not in that great shape, bare areas, weeds in first cut, when you could tell there was a first cut, but the greens were the high point of the course. Course is to tight for novice golfers, greatly slows down the pace.

I dont think this course will stay my weekend courses even the course is 10 min from my home.
Weird layout
This course has a very interesting layout.
Definitely not a traditional layout
Also do not believe the yardage on the card
Honestly, very difficult to describe this course. Good thing I had someone with me who would played the course before who could give me a little bit of course knowledge. Greens are slow and bumpy. Definitely need to be rolled. If you are a driver off the tea every single time this course is not for you. Does require some accuracy, which is great as well and there’s a lot of elevation change.
I don’t think I ever heard the word fore shouted so many times on of course
Consistently good to play
Fairways mostly excellent but short cut.
Roughs not too long. Some places with heavy grass.
Greens all in excellent shape. Some players not fixing ball marks must mostly good.
Tee's were rough on 4 holes.
Quite challenging course but can be forgiving.
OB is definately lost ball....
Good Pace; Somewhat Challenging
This day, the pace of play was pretty good. The conditions of the course were good. The greens were in good condition. The weather was nice; a little on the warmer side. I had a good round. No major problems or complaints.
