About
Situated within the Santa Ana Riverbed, River View Golf Course is conveniently located just minutes from Disneyland, Anaheim, and Long Beach. The course's design intertwines with the river, providing challenging hazards on several holes. The narrow layout also features elevated greens that rarely offer a flat lie and are fiercely guarded by sand. Accuracy is a necessity throughout this golf course. Although it offers a fair amount of challenges, there is also ample room off the tees that makes the course more accessible for beginners. River View G.C. is also popular for its practice facilities, which include a driving range with targets and the county's largest putting course. While the other facilities may be modest, River View offers an affordable game that is one of Orange County's best values.

Great bang for the buck
If it wasn't the slow pace, I would have finished the course. We teed off at 9am and that was earlier than the 915 we booked. The groups ahead of us clogged from the second hole and ended up having 3 groups in every course. The fairway was in good shape. Most courses are narrow and are close to each other. Watch for balls flying in every direction. One of the great bang for the buck courses, though.

Don’t build that park and keep it an 18teen hole course.
What a great surprise!
Never played here prior. Thought it would be a lousy public course. NOT
played Monday which is a light day.
Played early so never pushed nor did we catch those ahead. This is challenging as they make the course fit around the river. Straight drivers are rewarded but there's forgivess in many fairways due to slopes. Some holes REQUIR layup unless you consistently drive 240.
Not a walking course for us old guys due to up and downs.
Tee's mostly great.
Greens were ALL great. But consistantly slow. I guess I'm a slow learner. Next round I'll be ready.
Practice greens are professioal!
Driving range good also.

I think the heat made the fairways a little hard...I felt that the greens were excellent even though my friends and I felt the greens robbed of us some BIRDS! I recommend this course to anyone, and remember: It has 8x elevated greens, 2x narrow fairways, a water obstacle, 2x shots over the riverbed, and problematic trees! ;)

No room for any poor shots are punished severely on every and all hole except 1 . This course in my opinion one of the hardest courses I have ever played. Conditions are good greens a little slow but nice.
Be ready bring your A game or you will get smoked !

I always recommend this course: Eight elevated greens (4th, 5th, 7th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 16th, and 17th), 2x across-the river holes (14th and 18th), and two narrow fairways (3rd and 6th). The fairways are decent, and RV has made the 4th much more playable with the addition of fairway below the hill along the riverbed. The course is definitely a good deal, and in very good condition.

Love the price, great staff, good food, interesting course, have played several times. I get to play golf once a week in SoCal, and rarely, if ever, do you find a real marshal concerned with pace of play. Thank you, Marshall, for intervening on behalf of the golfers today. The group in front of us should NOT be playing on this course. Most golfers support new golfers since we were all new at some point. But if you are relatively new this is NOT the course for you. Many greens are significantly higher than the fairway. That’s unusual and makes for many difficult and challenging shots but meant for high handicaps.
Awesome inexpensive course
This was an awesome course to play and very affordable! Only $39 for 18 holes and a very challenging course! I will definitely be coming back!
