River View Golf Course

We had an excellent round of golf. The fairways and greens were in very good shape. They always do a great job of maintaining the greens. The only disappointment was that the Par 5 15th was shortened to a 100 yard Par 3. They had about 200 yards of fairway grass growing on it. They had about 100 yards of the same thing on the first Par 5 but it was off to the side by the water. They didn’t shorten that hole. The Santa Ana River had a good amount of water flowing which made it more pleasant. The staff were good and the pace of play was very good.

dawg, this course is dope asf. the first 3 holes are just babies compared to the rest of the course. i probably send more balls into the water than the green but had a good time. definitely need to hit this place back up

Fairways were in poor condition ,tee boxes on. many holes were aimed at each other . cart path concrete would jolt your clubs at slow speeds .Generally a shorter course ,narrow .

This course is challenging, but very fun. It is in the riverbed so time to time a few holes aren’t available and this day hole 13 was being worked on. You get par 3’s 4’s & 5’s and tight and wide fairways . Highly recommend.

The layout itself is pretty tough, some very narrow fairways. Tee boxes were in ok shape, greens were in decent shape, but the fairways are not very good, lots of patchy spots. Played on a Saturday and had to wait nearly every shot. My biggest complaint was the cart girl, she never moved, she just stay in the middle of the course and waited for you to come to her. I probably won’t be coming back.

Check-in staff was very kind and accommodating. He also was very helpful with information regarding pace of play as there was a high school tournament taking place.

Marshall Steve is awesome and friendly. He gave us a recommendation to start on the back 9. We enjoyed the rest of our twilight session.

The course layout can be challenging to beginners as there are quite a few over the river tees. Also, quite a few elevation changes in the course. Overall, a great time for the price.

At 82 years of age, I played from the forward tees. The course is in the best condition I've ever seen it to be in, even though the rain damage caused one par 5 to be played as a par 3.

Overall the course was OK, but not pristine! The east side of the 4th hole was great - RIVERVIEW listened and cut the rough to a reasonable level! The fairways have had an excess of riverbed sand get in the soil base, and that makes for some hard turf - sometimes it was like hitting on wood or astroturf.

I've golfed this couse many times, and usually the fairways are decent! However, the recent rain has layered the fairways with a hard pack below the grass; sometimes like hitting into wood! ...course needs time to rejuvenate!

I have played here about 4 times in the past 9 months, my recent visit I’ve notice a major improvement in course conditions. Greens are nice, grass is well kept! I love it.
