Situated within the Santa Ana Riverbed, River View Golf Course is conveniently located just minutes from Disneyland, Anaheim, and Long Beach. The course's design intertwines with the river, providing challenging hazards on several holes. The narrow layout also features elevated greens that rarely offer a flat lie and are fiercely guarded by sand. Accuracy is a necessity throughout this golf course. Although it offers a fair amount of challenges, there is also ample room off the tees that makes the course more accessible for beginners. River View G.C. is also popular for its practice facilities, which include a driving range with targets and the county's largest putting course. While the other facilities may be modest, River View offers an affordable game that is one of Orange County's best values.

They charged me $4.00 extra to ride alone as a single player even though the other single that played with us used a push cart. Kinda lame.
not bad
the course is a little different with some holes playing around the river bed. Overall not bad though. Had fun, played in some rain which made things a bit muddy. Met some nice people. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Club rentals a bit on the rough side. Good value and I would play again
Great value for money and interesting course
WOW what a great wee gem of a course to find. The gentleman behind counter very friendly. The course is challenging but fun. Bring lots of balls if not aren’t consistently straight. Some tough dog legs that go up to elevated greens but you can par (if in the right place). Would definitely play again great value for money. Thanks for a great day as pace of play was excellent no waiting until the 18th hole.

Nice course
I enjoyed this course. The course is in good condition and very playable. A few of the holes incorporate the Santa Ana river so they are a little unorthodox and somewhat challenging. Only real drawback is that a few of the tees are hard to find, but other than that, It's a great place to play a round of golf. Nice range and putting area too.
River View is Still a Timeless Challenge
Grew up playing here and learning how to navigate the Santa Ana river and river beds. Course is still the same as ever and was pretty lush from all the rain. The greens were firm and rolled great. The course is tight so expect a lot of air traffic from neighboring holes throughout. Pace of play was outstanding - about 4 hours on a Sunday and they were packed. Zig zagging across the river and under the overpasses adds to the experience.
The river golf course
Had fun and had a challenging golf game to avoid the river.The pace was a little slow due to more people playing. It was fun and basically you play next to or over the river.
