River View Golf Course
About
Situated within the Santa Ana Riverbed, River View Golf Course is conveniently located just minutes from Disneyland, Anaheim, and Long Beach. The course's design intertwines with the river, providing challenging hazards on several holes. The narrow layout also features elevated greens that rarely offer a flat lie and are fiercely guarded by sand. Accuracy is a necessity throughout this golf course. Although it offers a fair amount of challenges, there is also ample room off the tees that makes the course more accessible for beginners. River View G.C. is also popular for its practice facilities, which include a driving range with targets and the county's largest putting course. While the other facilities may be modest, River View offers an affordable game that is one of Orange County's best values.

Love this course. Tough but great way to challenge yourself.
Had a great time, can’t wait to golf there again.
My Favorite Course
I haven’t seen greens in such immaculate condition. Awesome experience... going back over and over !
Awesome course!
Course is in great shape! Got paired with a couple cool guys and one of the instructors. It was my first time playing this course. Greens were great fairways were good tee boxes were ok but overall one of the better kept courses I’ve played in oc! If you go in expecting a club kept course you’ll be let down but if you go in expecting a $39 public course you will be stoked! Tough course with the constant elevation changes. The carts are awesome with built in gps. I will absolutely go back!
it was Alright
Though it was alright, I won't recommend to my buddies.
It’s a good course to practice
This course is in the floodplain of the Santa Ana River so all the greens are elevated to prevent flooding during the winter. You need to getting used to approaching the elevated greens.
Beware
This course is covered in trash. That should be enough for a 1 star rating. Dangerous holes; it’s almost as if fairways cross each other frequently; multiple close calls getting hit by ball. If you like places where jeans and a t shirt are allowed, this is the place for you! It doesn’t look like they have any groundskeepers on staff. Just like playing in a dumpsite. Large dumpster several feet off 10th fairway. High db polka band playing nearby. Greens were in surprisingly good shape in comparison to the rest of the course.
Greens are awesome!
This course does not have the best fairways. They are still a work in progress but the greens are well taken care of. You get a true roll! For the price this course is a bargain to work on your putting!!!
Challenging Course but good times
First time playing here! Really enjoyed the course layout cutting back and forth over the river (sand bed when I played). It's the perfect difficulty for average/ mediocre players.
Fun , but very challenging.
Bring extra balls if you suck like.me. I lost 10. Good times though.
Great Day to be out
Greens were really nice, soft and smooth. Pace of play was good and didn’t have to wait much playing a tee time at noon. Finished the round in 4:30 hours so not bad.
Old school course
Old school course. Not kept in great shape. If you are looking for a resort type,/high end course, this is not it. The course is cut in and around a canal/river. Thus, the name river view.
However, it is a tough course. Must be able to play shots. 7 long par 3s and par 5s are deceptively difficult. Lot of approach shots to small elevated greens. Would be frustrating for a beginner. If your looking to get a round in and not pay a lot of money, this course would be an option.
