River View Golf Course

Usually I’m not one to complain . But my round on 3.9.21 wasn’t very pleasant at all. We teed off almost :25 pass our tee time bye cause there wasn’t any carts available . Several groups waiting for cartS . The staff claims it was because the course just received new carts and they were prepping & cleaning them . Carts came out about 1 every :10 minutes . Once I got MY cart it was washed down but DID not function properly! Definitely wasn’t new !! After about 3 holes , the cart sputtered and jerked most the time I had it . And I literally had to be pushed by my Uncles cart for the last 6 hole I was nauseous from the jerking and bumpy ride . . Called the pro shop, no answer ! So I was basically stuck with what I had . After the round I brought to the attention of the KID at the pro shop no and the guys working Tuesday cart area . No exaggeration, they did everything to blame me and not apologize for the cart conditions . Why didn’t I call ? Why didn’t o change the cart on the turn.l?? Absolute joke ! Children running these golf course with absolutely no business sense what so ever .! It’s sad because the course is in good shape and a nice track but I won’t be back. Too many other options out there to NOT be appreciated or respected !

Very challenging course.

The greens were well maintained but small and not flat.

The fairways were thin. You have to be on your A game on this course.

This course is along the Santa Ana river bed. The greens are elevated to prevent flooding. Very unique layout. Greens are okay, fairways need improvement.

My reservation not in their computer system. Had to show my golfnow reservation. Proshop staff not very knowledgeable and not accommodating. Neglected to provide golf cart key.

Great little spot. Dont let the course rating fool you its hard when the wind is up. Quirky layout but fun & the greens are great! Don't know about summer time but right now its in good shape for the money

Even with the Santa Ana winds, it was a great day on the course today. It’s been about a year since I played River View and I was pleasantly surprised at the conditions of the course. Tee boxes were in decent condition aside from a few sloped ones. Fairways were a bit hard but not bad to hit from. Greens were in way better condition than I remember and unlike other courses that have let their sand traps go to crap during COVID, sand traps were actually decent to hit out of too. River view is always a great value and challenging course. Cheers!

I really tried to be a better man and walk away but I have to say something I’ve been playing here since I started golfing again this summer. I am 60 I get senior discount at virtually all the courses I play. I had received a senior here so I booked as such online. I went in and the starter gave me a horrendous time. I committed the crime of booking a senior before 65 which is the age here. I finally got out to golf after having to get a manager. I played a couple more rounds at full price with out issues. Then I went for a round early Feb. The starter wanted me to go early I requested to keep my time so I could warm up. This upset him. He called me names flipped me off took of his jacket like he was gonna come beat me up. Additionally he didn’t send me at my time. Rather he took the people in my group and sent them out with the group prior. Then he lied to his boss and said nobody wanted to golf with me. I was told by a golfer he was telling people I’m a jerk and they don’t want to golf with me. I am looking to just have a nice enjoyable round and this is how it starts being persecuted for no reason by a starter with issues. I believe they took no action so be prepared to deal with this gem when you go there. I won’t be back
