River View Golf Course
About
Situated within the Santa Ana Riverbed, River View Golf Course is conveniently located just minutes from Disneyland, Anaheim, and Long Beach. The course's design intertwines with the river, providing challenging hazards on several holes. The narrow layout also features elevated greens that rarely offer a flat lie and are fiercely guarded by sand. Accuracy is a necessity throughout this golf course. Although it offers a fair amount of challenges, there is also ample room off the tees that makes the course more accessible for beginners. River View G.C. is also popular for its practice facilities, which include a driving range with targets and the county's largest putting course. While the other facilities may be modest, River View offers an affordable game that is one of Orange County's best values.

Hit the ball around
Fun new course I played today. Worth the money and more. Greens in great shape. Will be in the course rotation.
Not Bad Not Great
With a few beers any course can be fun haha!
The conditions weren’t great but they have some challenging holes. The layout is a bit tight so your straight game needs to be on. Also be on alert on some of these tee boxes from incoming stray balls.
If the conditions were immaculate, my only complaint would be that the layout was a little tight and the driving range is right on the course. The first tee might be challenging as it is right next to the driving range mats and gets pretty loud from everyone striking golf balls.
I’d say if it were $40 I’d play there again but at $49 I’d pay $11 more and play somewhere like Westridge or Eagle Glenn instead
Enjoyed the round. Course was in good condition. Tee boxes look to be under repair. Greens are in great shape. Fairways decent. Golfed here a few times before and have enjoyed it in the past. Will be back again at some point. Great Value.
worst course I've played this year
The first time i've ever played River View it was nice. Very green and lush like you see on the photos. You would actually cross the carts on pontoon bridges. Now in 2020 the course is in the worst shape I've ever seen. We paid $50 to be let down and depressed by the conditions of this course. There was no grass on the tee boxes or the fairways. The pace of play was very slow and no marshal to get things moving. The bunkers had rocks and gravel in it that your clubs would get damaged hitting out of it. The homeless people used to have a tent city around this area but they have all been kicked out. I firmly believe that the City of Santa Ana should let the homeless just build a new tent city on this golf course for the benefit of humanity because no one should be playing here.
worth the rate
greens were in great condition..... staff was friendly.... well worth it. i will definitely play here again.
See it for yourself- don’t judge
Some bad reviews on here but go check it out if for yourself.
It was my first time and I was pleasantly surprised with some good fairways, greens, and golf. Definitely worth the price and had a good day.
Greens are Great
Wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy the course and was pleasantly surprised how much fun I had. Greens were in terrific shape the Marshall was very helpful in keeping the pace of play as they staggered tee times to accommodate covid-19 protocols!
Great Bargain
It’s not a high end course but it is definitely worth the money. The greens are very well kept. New carts with GPS makes it so much better for the pace of play. I would definitely return.
Good greens, bad everything else
This course is downright dangerous. No protections for people walking along the course. You can easily hit balls into people hitting on the driving range from the 18th tees. This course is uncared for - fairways are dead all over the place, many cart paths are dirt, quality of sand is garbage, lots of ditches and dead zones that you continually have to cross. The holes are all on top of each other and tee boxes are very exposed to people hitting onto the green on the previous hole. Greens are in good shape though - but everything else is terrible. Not worth the 45 dollars it costs to play here.

hitting off lots of dirt or patchy grass
not that great of course, but you get what you pay for
Slow pace of play
Everything was great except I paid $50 to have a 5 hour pace of play. Left at hole 15. Two parties waiting to tee off at one hole took up to 20 minutes. Course should considering booking less tee times. Not fair to overbook so course can make a few extra bucks. Everything else was great though. Nice greens and friendly staff.
