Nice course
Enjoyed a beautiful day on a fun course. Cart path only because of recent rain but it was very playable. Will try it again when back in the area.
Worth the drive!
Drove up from Jacksonville to play. Beautiful, well-maintained course with many holes on the marshes. Quiet neighborhood with homes set back from course. Only reason for not giving a 5 rating was the poor condition of the sand traps - hard pan dirt which was very difficult to play out of.
Good shape for the time of year
Osprey was in great shape, I’m used to playing the courses around here and they’re all full of dormant fairways this time of year. The course layout is phenomenal, the marsh views really are amazing.
Will definitely try to add to my monthly rotation.
Great course, friendly staff, quick and true greens.
Great shape for early season
Really enjoy playing this course when visiting the area. Great layout and conditions overall is really good shape. A couple par 3 tee boxes need some work.
Greens rolled true and fast.
An excellent course to play!
It started with an excellent meals in the club house followed by a most enjoyable round round of golf. Will be back with more friends.
Pleasant Surprise
Primarily a members course, Osprey Cove offers the player a good mix of short, medium and long par 3, 4, and 5 holes. The fairways are generous with options to bust driver or play conservatively with a shorter club. Several holes play along the marsh offering spectators views. The greens and surrounds were in great condition, with speeds that will challenge the skilled player. The pace of play was better than expected, allowing our foursome to play in less then 4 hours on a full golf course. I would definitely play Osprey Cove again.
Beautiful marsh views, great conditions!
Osprey Cove is a beautiful golf course in the Georgia marshland low country. The conditions were perfect from tees to greens. There are several challenging risk-reward shots, but almost always places to bail out if needed. Several greens had significant undulations, but the ball rolled perfectly and all greens were fair, even when not easy. Occasionally, such as on the 7th, 8th, 9th, 15th, 17th, and 18th tees, you just have to stop for a moment and take in the beautiful marsh landscape views reaching from Georgia to Florida.
The signature tee shot, on the 18th, requires a bold shot over a long extension of marsh to reach the fairway. On a windy day, it’s not for the faint of heart!
The staff is very friendly (lots of “Southern Charm”) and the dining area overlooks the joint 9th and 18th greens (yes, one huge green extends to both holes).
The experience was worth every penny!
