Great greens

Overall nice course, Greens held everything coming in. They are currently working on filling the traps ( which could use the new sand ). Liked the openness and layout!, will play again.

Nice day at The Legends

Got out ahead of a group of twelve and we were able to stay well ahead of them. The greens are in good shape. Fairways are average.

Don't Bother

The course management was so bad that we had anywhere from two to four GROUPS of players on every hole. They started us on hole #10 and by the time we finally got to hole #1, it was packed with players. Unless you like a 6 hour round, play somewhere else.

Save your money

I knew the greens were aeriated but did not expect the tee boxes and fairways to be in such poor shape. Weeds growing in the fairways seemed they hadn't been cut for some time. This course could be awesome but it really needs some tender loving care. No yardage markers (or if they happen to not have fallen off the sprinkler heads), I only saw one. Without a yardage marker guessing distances would be difficult. Lots of blind shots.

Would not play again.

Legends review

I have played the Legends course now a few times. Upon arriving I was told we would be playing the back nine twice due to green aeration. That was ok, but I was definitely told that Golf Now should have told me. Maybe it was there, I just didn’t see it. As for the course itself, it appears to me that it has been let go some. Maybe more Monet has been put into the school aspect of the course than the course itself. The tee boxes were rugged at best, the “sand” traps were concrete dirt, and the fairways...let’s just say I didn’t mind improving my lie. The greens were definitely the best kept part of the course... I would rate them as average. There was no cart person, and they have done away with the practice chipping and sand area...probably good since there is no sand! The course layout is not bad, in my opinion, with the potential of some very pretty holes. Range balls were quite worn... nothing like the balls you might get at the Murietta driving range...and again you hit off mats, with no tees for using woods. You had to buy those! I understand the lack of water during these times, but I think they could definitely improve things if they want more golfers to play there.

I played the course the same day, I also booked my time through golfnow and there is a aeration alert if you take the time to look,it is also on your email confirmation the course is much improved from several years ago. I don't get why people have to post these types of reviews and just can't go and enjoy the day.

Horrible....

Went there for the first time, it was a cold rainy day with no one in front of us and no one behind. We had a bachelor party of 6. We did not even get through the first whole when we were told we cant have that many people, however a party of 5 would be fine.. I can see if it was a busy day, but they were on the verge of closing due to weather. The ladies at the bar were the nicest there and willing to help....

I have been playing golf for over 30 years and have never heard of any course allowing 6 players to play together in the same group. you know you were in the wrong but you post a review like this grow up at just say you are upset because you didn't get your way.

We tried this course and it was a learning experience. The gentleman behind the counter is gruff at best and I would consider just plain rude. We had to swap out carts twice and the 3rd cart actually was not bad and we were able to finish out the round. When your cart breaks down on the 12 hole and you need to call - good luck because that is when you get the rude gruff gentleman telling you your not his priority and the people at the counter come first. I will say the greens were very nice and rolled well but the fairways need a lot more water. My advice is go play Redhawks, SCGA, Cross Creek or Pechanga and have a nice pleasant enjoyable round. One and done for us.

Legends GC Temecula

For a February round, I think it is what you'd expect from most courses. Fairways were dormant, but the greens were amazing. They held approaches while rolling fast and true. The traps left something to desired, containing little sand. The layout is great with some challenging approaches and strategic tee shots. The pace was a bit slow (4 hours 20 min) and I never saw a marshal the entire round. When I arrived, there was one staff. He was on the phone for awhile, and when he finally helped me with fees, he gave little instruction or information about the course. The staff at the restaurant were very helpful and accomadating. I'll definitely be playing here again. The price was a great deal if you dont mind playing with new people.

Early Morning Round

I played this past Presidents Day. It was a chilly morning and the starter who was very friendly allowed me to go out early as a single. The course played fair and long at times, as there are many greens that you are hitting up or down too. The greens were in excellent condition, but the fairways and traps could use a little work. The layout is nice for all levels of play, especially if you follow the course recommendation based on your handicapp. I will definitely play The Legends again soon .
