The King & Prince Golf Course winds through the mature forests and vast salt marshes that are located along the northern coast of St. Simon's Island. The beautifully preserved surroundings offer a glimpse of the native wildlife, which includes ospreys, woodpeckers, and bald eagles. The course offers stunning coastal scenery and a challenging layout. The layout features a more open front nine with more sand while the back nine is characterized by the golf course's trademarks, four island holes that were carved from small coastal marsh island and accessed by elevated cart bridges. Numerous marshes and the vast Butler Lake make an appearance on seven holes. Golfers can warm up before a round on the expansive putting and chipping greens or the driving range, which is equipped with five target greens.

Beautiful back nine

It was a busy Saturday am so the starter let our twosome go off the back first - Wow! What an amazing view. The course is cut into the marsh and lilts of water. The view is spectacular.

Quick pace of play

The speed we played at was really the only memorable part of the experience. We were a twosome, early tee time on a weekday. Overpriced for the conditions, have played many better courses for half the cost.

Wonderful course and fun layout

The King and Prince is a great design and layout that is visually stunning at times and fun to play for golfers of various skill levels. Not a beginner’s course but the yardage markers throughout make it easy to determine distance but the winds create varying decisions throughout the round. Greens were in excellent shape and afforded true reads and opportunities. The wildlife and bird life add to the wonderful aesthetic appeal of this fine layout.

Nice Course on Saint Simons

Good layout, not overly challenging but some interesting holes, multiple tee options, well maintained, some tough putting greens, walkable, a bit overpriced for 9 holes but it is Saint Simons. .

Very pretty

Nice course and well maintained. (1). Even though it’s still COVID, there was no one to direct, no signs or directions when we pulled in. A bit confusing. Was not sure where to go to get help. Found our way inside and got directions there. (2). Would have liked a diagram of each hole. If not on the score card, at least a laminated picture affixed to the cart , or maybe at each Tee- box to show each hole.
