The Club at Savannah Harbor is steeped in Southern charm, offering dramatic views that span from the surrounding wetlands of the Back River to Savannah's famous Historic District. Sam Snead and Bob Cupp designed the golf course. Their ultimate goal was to bring to life the philosophy of "risk and reward." For example, a well executed shot placed near a hazard is rewarded with less club to the green or a better approach angle, or even both. The putting surfaces have gentle transitions to different pin locations, making them more traditional than modern. The designers incorporated another classic design element, the greens have subtle roll-offs or collars that fall away, a feature of golf courses from the 1930s and 40s. Golfers can also use the club's large, duel-ended practice facility.

Great Course!

Loved playing here, very convenient from Tybee where we were staying. My only issue is that the group ahead of us was on a 6 hour round pace and they weren't hurried along by the staff. The cart tells your pace of play and if you're ahead or behind so they for sure knew they were a problem. Since they wouldn't let a twosome play through, we skipped them on a par 3 and didn't see another group the entire time. 12 holes and we didn't catch up in our sub 4 hour round. They were newbs, fine. Hitting three shots out of a green side bunker or never making it past the forward tee box on drives? Yikes. They needed a talking to...

Really love this course, only issue was they allowed a six some in front of us. They started as 2 threesomes, but joined together by the 3 hole, so pace of play was slow. We called pro shop, but after they came out, six some was allowed to continue

Fun course, well maintained

Loved it, except for holes 13-15, which were a little weed in layout, and they also decided to cut the grass late in the afternoon on these holes which resulted in a ton of no-seeums deciding to go on biting frenzy

great start to the year

i've played this course over the years, and they did a pretty extensive amount of work several years back, especially on the greens. they are currently in great shape at the start of spring, and i'm excited to see how it is from here on out. not to say the greens were bad last year... but they are really good now.

If its on sale, theres a reason

Great course, beautiful clubhouse and proshop. Grill and driving range were closed. Expect hotel prices at bar. Played after a few days of rain and the course was still in good shape. Got a "hot deal" and it was a bit busy. If youre a local, expect tourists that lack manners 🤣 overall I love this course and had a great round.
