About
The Club at Savannah Harbor is steeped in Southern charm, offering dramatic views that span from the surrounding wetlands of the Back River to Savannah's famous Historic District. Sam Snead and Bob Cupp designed the golf course. Their ultimate goal was to bring to life the philosophy of "risk and reward." For example, a well executed shot placed near a hazard is rewarded with less club to the green or a better approach angle, or even both. The putting surfaces have gentle transitions to different pin locations, making them more traditional than modern. The designers incorporated another classic design element, the greens have subtle roll-offs or collars that fall away, a feature of golf courses from the 1930s and 40s. Golfers can also use the club's large, duel-ended practice facility.

Beautiful resort style course
My brother was visiting and we wanted to play a nicer course. With a deal on golf now, this was within reach, otherwise it’s a bit high.
The driving range was nice, albeit awkward having to drive and hit back towards the clubhouse. The holes were well maintained, and the Bermuda rough was such that it was truly a challenge to find your ball. The grass was well rooted in the fairways, and the greens were consistent.
The area around the course seems to still be under construction, which took away from the overall experience. Roads, the tennis courts, etc.
Great Course Experience
Day was great, course has a few greens with large circles ...a fungus maybe.
The staff were great from bag drop to the completion of our round.
ALWAYS A PLEASURE
I HAVE PLAYED THIS COURSE SEVERAL TIMES EVERY YEAR AND IT IS ALWAYS IN GOOD CONDITION AND THE STAFF IS ALWAYS CORDIAL.

Won’t be back
On paper, this course is awesome. Unfortunately, it was over a 5 hour round and the mosquitoes were unbearable. Greens had several dead spots on each and rough was very very long. Overall, course was way too overpriced for such a bad experience. I highly recommend checking out Crosswinds. Much better course for much lower price.
Overpriced and unimaginative
1. We quit after 15 holes as the mosquitos were swarming and fiercely biting. Course staff just chuckled and said “they’re bad out there”. We asked for bug spray as we ran out after the first nine. One staff mentioned that they are going to spray. Didn’t help us one bit. I think I have about 25 bites.
2. Way overpriced for a pretty boring course.
3. I wouldn’t play here again - even for free.
Great course
Love this course,great staff 😍. A must play if your in the Savanah area.
Harbor
I really enjoyed the layout. The course conditioning was excellent with exception of a few wet spots. The greens were true. My only complaint were the mosquitoes. Bring bug spray when you play the course!
Bugs
Other reviews are right, the bugs and mosquitos are just awful. It cannot be understated, it's unbearable.
Wet Conditions
The heavy rain in the Savannah area had made it difficult for the course staff to keep up with cutting the fairways and the rough. They had cut the fairways but there were grass clippings all over given the length of the fairways when they were able to cut the them. The rough was tall and thick. The starters described it as ‘juicy’ and I agreed. This was the second time I’ve played this course and the recent weather had made it a little less enjoyable but still a very nice layout and with the staff and locker room facilities are top notch.
