SLOW PACE OF PLAY (6+ Hours)
SLOW, SLOW, SLOW. This round took over 6 hours to complete and was backed up from the 1st fairway. All tee boxes were uneven and barely had any grass. Bunkers were empty and barely had any sand. Very poor value and pace.

This course had great features
This course had great features. Elevated tees as well as some great downhill shots. Greens were in excellent condition with lots of undulating features. I’m looking forward to playing it again and again.

Slow
Played 14 holes in 4 hours. No marshall keeping pace of play up. Consistently waited 5-10 minutes between shots.

Good course
Good course lay out. Not a good condition tee box.
Supply and demand
Even though they always have single spot open early, it’s hard to recommend this course because of the current course conditions especially with rising green fees.
I payed $101 to play on a course with sand and dry tee boxes. I think the tee boxes had more sand than the sand traps.
Sadly due to COVID golfers taking up all the tee times, I’ll. Be back complaining about the course conditions.

Beautiful day to play an excellent layout with some challenging holes. Although had to wait on every hole, was able t admire the spectacular views. Greens were a little bumpy and sand traps lacked sand but all in all great value.

Fun course to play
Fairways had great roll! Overall appearance was poor. Not from what I remember when I played it over 20 years ago. Disappointed! Definitely not worth the cost. For this course, in its present condition, worth only about $40/ round..

Not worth $100
Cannot believe that they charge $100 for that course. Probably the worst conditioned course I’ve seen in a long time. Greens were terrible, ball hopping a foot in the air, bunkers are concrete.....no sand, or dirt at all. This course is awful. Staff was less than accommodating, no direction on where anything was, and gave the impression that they could care less. Troon should be ashamed to have their name associated with this facility.

In great shape w/wxception of tee boxes
The fairways are in really good shape as are the greens. I would give it five stars if the tee boxes weren't so beat. I have a feeling that may change when they move them. The whites were further up than normal. I imagine that is either to promote the pace of pay or their letting the normal white tee boxes recover. Anyhow, I really like the layout of Hiddenbrooke. It's a fun course. Glad it's in much better shape than some of the previous recent reviews painted a picture of. I normally play there once or twice a year. I'll probably be back soon.

PACE OF PLAY
I understand the popularity of golf has increased through the pandemic, but 4 hours through 12 holes is horrendous. We watched a group 2 holes ahead of us look for their balls (all 4 golfers) for 15 minutes on a par 3 while the group behind was waiting on the tee box. Course was overall in good shape other than a good portion of back nine where large weeds were widespread throughout the intermittent rough. Tough to justify $84 twilight tee time with OK conditions and marshalls not doing their job. Won't be back until pace of play is somehow addressed.

Hiddenbrooke - best condition for play in years.
The Troon Team at Hiddenbrooke are doing a fantastic job of getting Hiddenbrooke back into the condition it was before it hit on hard times.
The fairways and greens are in great condition and the tee boxes are looking decent / best that they’ve been in a while).
Bunkers s could do with some sand but they’re not unplayable.
The Troon staff are awesome, across the board.
