One of my favorites
This course never disappoints. The conditions are always great, the staff is friendly and the pace is quick and orderly. I will definitely return soon!
A gem in Vallejo.
Very impressed with overall condition of the course. Greens have subtle breaks. Will definitely play it again.
Enjoyable
Great course. Don't recommend walking as it is definitely not flat. A little windy, so bring extra balls.
Very enjoyable course.
Remembering
I used to play this course when my son was just 12 years old. This round I played with my now 19 years old son. All this year gone by but, we both were reminiscing the days when he felt the par 4 was so far. Now, he thinks par 5s were short. LOL. Good news that CIty of Vallejo now have decided to revitalize the course instead of closing it. Challenging enough but not too hard to score well.
❤️ Blue Rock
Love both courses!!! Please don't close them to build more houses!!!!
The golf was great but they didn't have our tee time in their system. I had printed off the confirmation email so it turned out to be OK.
Great day !
Course was in superb shape, and the putting greens perfect. Waited for a later, mid day Sunday tee time, and did not have to wait on any hole. It was a perfect day all the way around
Great Time of Year Big Demand for Play
We were a foursome that tee'd off at 3:04PM it had a good pace of play the $30.00 price tag for this late time discouraged many players. The Greens were good there are still some soft spots in the fairways it was a 90 Degrees but should have been cart paths only. On the back nine we started to see players going around jumping holes, playing music loud, and then we had a 5 some show up in front us on 14 and it killed the pace a Marshall showed up and told us there was 32 minutes left to play we directed him to the group in front of us. They over book this place and have poor management they make excuses and have dead carts all over the course very unorganized mediocre at best.
Meh
We played the West Course. The course itself was challenging and beautiful! However, the course management was terrible. They had us tee off 45 minutes after our scheduled tee time. The course must have been badly overbooked because it was backed up all day. Two groups on the tee boxes waiting to tee off, one group on the fairway, and another putting on the green. It was ridiculous! Absolutely killed the flow of the game. Would love to play this course again but I doubt we will, wouldn't want to risk wasting our time and money again. Also no beverage cart was in operation.
Great Layoiy
It was still muddy in some spots but still playable after the rain overnight. This is a nice course and would play again. I'm sure it has dried out nicely by now.
Excellent course and value
The West course was in great shape even after the rain. It's a great course with a variety of terrain, moderate elevation changes, some nice views. Fairways are generally forgiving and wide, with mature trees lining the edges. Greens were fast, some difficult sloping greens. Good amount of bunkers protecting the greens which had plenty of good sand. Staff at the course pro shop and cafe were awesome. Will definitely be back to play again and try the east course. Especially given the very reasonable prices, this course is great.
Ups and downs
We play this course 3 or 4 times a year. It is not a fancy course as far as amenities go but the course itself is fun and challenging. It is was still muddy in many spots so only 3 stars on that. Lots of up and down holes make it challenging and provide some great views. Greens are in good shape and were running fast today- not always the case. A very good value at $34 for a Sunday.
First time beginner
Played from noon, pace a little slow, great condition for the season, very friendly staff, parking could be a problem but I was lucky to find a spot closer to the club house.
Lay out a little strange but works for the space (west course)
Sponge golf
I got a great base green fee of $17 for 18 holes on a wet, cold Sunday afternoon around 12:15 PM. Walked right on and golfed by myself. The course is still very wet and I would not recommend play until things start drying out. In the last 2 weeks I have golfed other Solano County courses including Hiddenbrooke, Cypress Lakes, and Blue Rock West. Hiddenbrooke drained the best of the three, but it's probably just too soon to get out onto these wet courses. Regardless, I quit after 9 holes at BR as the conditions were poor.
5 in a group
Very slow no marshal and 5 in a group on Saturday. If you put out a 5 they need to be watched and they played from the blues could reach par 3 funny
