Humming-birdie
the reward for hitting my ball into a hazard was a front row to the beauty of their Audubon accreditation: I counted 10 hummingbirds!!!!
Good course overall
Greens were pretty bumpy from people not fixing their ball marks. I don’t discount the course for this as it’s more just frustration with other golfers. Pretty cool layout and some really challenging holes especially on the back nine. I liked how the course dares you to pull driver even though other clubs are better plays. I would definitely play this course again.
Just a suggestion for some tee boxes on par threes, I would move the tees better so that grass grows back faster. We played relatively early and they were really beat up. It’s an expensive round and had it not poured the night before I think it would have been worth it.
Course has changed
I started going to the Frog a couple of years ago. I think the course us great, but the past few months it seems to be slipping a little. The sand traps need to be worked on, I understand with civid not racking them, but they are in horrible condition. A couple of the rangers favor members and let the title go to their head, don't ask me to let a group of member play through because they complain when we are waiting on the group ahead of us longer then they are waiting on us, and we were still playing under USGAs pace of play. Now this year the greens are starting to grow crab grass making putting interesting. Over all I enjoy this course but will stop playing it if it continues to slip and the price stays the same.
Frog review
This course was quite challenging has a lot of sand bunkers on every hole but fairway are wider than most and have room to land your ball. Green were soft and rolled little slow. But over all very nice course
I would drive out here more if I could afford
Excellent . I played here for 38.00 worth every penny. The normal price is around 55.00 . The layout was very interesting . Greens and fairway were very good The place is beautiful with a country feel . And forgiving. Due to large landings
Great Course, bunkers need a little love
Great time, i believe the recent rain made the bunkers a little less than perfect but overall a good track for any golfer. The frog is typically known for super fast greens, not so much this time.
Incredible Layout
This course is incredible. One of the best courses you can play in the metro area. Rolling topography with wide fairways and greens requiring strong approach shots to really score, but incredibly fair for the mid to high handicap. Will definitely be back.
Excellent Course with few exceptions
The course is absolutely beautiful. The staff was very friendly and all was good.
Couple of things:
- They do not let you drive the golf carts in the parking lot (not sure why) so be prepared to walk
- The bunkers need work as they are just mostly dirt with a few exceptions
Overall, I really like this course. I am a beginner. It was challenging but not overboard.
Only problem is the bunkers
Great course. Greens and fairways are in great shape and it’s clear they take good care of them. There are very few Hardpan or tough lies... everything is lush and the ball sits well.
Only issue I had was with the bunkers. I haven’t played the frog in 7-8 years, and back then the bunkers were so nice. Fluffy white sand and it was so easy to splash the ball out. Now the bunkers and about a half inch of sand and red clay beneath. Had it on 3rd hole and 12th. Could not hit a normal sand shot. But that was my only compliant. Course is very nice overall.
What a great golf course!
A challenging golf course with lots of variety.
It was in fantastic shape! I look forward to playing there again.
Been a while
Best bent greens I've seen in a long time. Never a bad lie. Bunkers need work.
Fast pace play a great layout. Looking forward to returning
Enjoyed the course however duen to slow play just went back to hole #1 and replayed the nine. Still had a wonderful day of golf and enjoyed the day.
Love the course!
I really liked the layout. I thought the course was challenging (played from the gold tees) and beautiful...EXCEPT for the bunkers. The bunkers, for the most part, are in pretty bad shape. If they put money into fixing the bunkers it would be one of the top 5 places to golf in the Atlanta area in my eyes. And other than a pretty slow foursome in front of us (we were a threesome), it was a perfect day. I will definitely go back.
A top public course in Georgi
Course conditions continue to get better. Greens are in great condition and roll true. Fairways are looking great. Once the bunker issue is taken care of, this course will be unmatched for value.
Staff is always friendly.
