First time in Clermont National

Clermont National is a challenging and beautifully designed course. The field conditions were excellent, except that the grass was too tall in the rough and the ball was easily lost or difficult to get out. The greens were in very good condition with an approximate speed of 10-11, which is very good for most players.

Great Shape, SLOW PACE

First time playing there since it was Sanctuary Ridge...the course is in great shape and the changes they've made are really good. The service was good, the price was decent, BUT the pace was horrible...a 9am tee time that took around 5 1/2 hours...it was just a bit too much....ranger presence was good but I think they overbooked the course (there were 44 golfers from a league on the course before 9am which forced us to start on hole 10). Yes, I recommend and definitely will like to come back (but pace needs to be in line with a 4 to 41/2 pace).

Clarmont National

The course was in good shape with the exception of the rough and spent way too much time looking for balls just off the fairway.

Pace of play was very slow as the course was hosting a small tournament and we unfortunately got stuck behind the tournament. They should have informed us as we like to play early to play fast and avoid the heat, but unfortunately the course owners only want to make money and the heck with the customer.

Beautiful but very difficult course

If you decide to play here I hope you can hit within 20 - 30 yards of your intended line off the tee or your ball is lost in the thick rough. Beautiful course but the average golfer will lose alot of balls even on a good shot bc of how sloped the fairways are and how thick the rough is. YE BE WARNED

Absolutely stunning!

Amazing course ! Might be the best in Orlando for around $100. Between the steep slopes and challenging fairways your game will be put to the test. The rough here plays true to its name, ROUGH. That being said, this course is in excellent condition in every way. Between the course and the overall experience it’s a 10/10

Good course

I have played this course for many years all the way back when it was Diamond Players Club, the course has not changed for the last 20 years just conditions, as of right now its pretty good. the greens are excellent the fairway good and tee boxes are good, the only thing is they are having a hard time keeping up with some of the ruff. but it is ruff right?

Significant elevation changes and good conditions

The last time I played here was before the pandemic when it was called Sanctuary Ridge. The new management has vastly improved the course conditions and the club house. The greens were fast and true and most of the fairways were firm with roll out. The most memorable feature of the course is its hilliness there are numerous holes that require severe uphill or downhill shots. If you love elevation changes, this is the course for you.

Keep them in the Fairway

There was good and bad, no course book or totems which for first time playing it was not knowing where the green was or how to play the fairways. The rough was like a hayfield so bring an extra ball or two. Was not expecting that we would get paired up with a couple coming off 10 when we were just starting at 1.

Course is tough but fun, narrow front 9 so hit them straight. Looking forward to playing again now that I know the course .

The greens are big and fast some reads were tough, terrain changes are great so chose your club wisely especially ion the par 3’s.

Watch for the hot deals to play if it is the first time or you will feel like you spent to much.

Enjoy and definitely play this course as overall a very challenging course to play.

CN .....Same Layout with Grass & Greens

The last time I played here (as Sanctuary Ridge), course was in rough shape, needing a lot of TLC & money infusion. This is a fun course to play, not your typical layout to Orlando with the elevation changes and swooping fairways.....and did I say they now have grass! Yes, still a lot of room for improvements, but greens & tees will improve with maturity. The clubhouse area, including sophisticated driving range and bars, all very cool & inviting. The hitting bays have computerized launch-monitors & distance displays for game analysis. Thank to GN for the Hot Deals special (although the mid-day slot was HOT, course was wide open)...............I will be back!

Clermont National --Awesome Layout

Same layout as previous clubs, but a lot more grass than prior to closing (only a few years ago. Greens are good, a little slow and grainy, but needs time to mature. Fairways are good, getting better with attention. This course is fun to play, unique to Central Florida, with elevation changes & fooling carry-distances. I was short-sided all day. The staff & clubhouse area is unique too, driving range is like Top Golf. Thanx to GN for the hot deals prices and I will be back to judge progress of course conditions.
