Disappointed
I'll start by saying the young man that greeted me in the parking lot was AWESOME! The rest ...not so much. Got in the gas powered cart and drove to the club house area where the area to park your cart was so full that there was nowhere to park. Walked into the pro shop and the line was 6 deep. Range balls are not included in the fee which is always annoying.. The driving range hadn't been swept of balls and there were a million out there. The range mat that both my friend and I used were both torn. Got to the 1st tee and was told we were teeing off on #10, which by the way is the most ridiculous hole I've ever played in my life. Would have been nice to know where we were teeing off before we went to the wrong tee box. They double book tee times here and stress a 2 hour front 9 or "things will get messed up". We finished the front in 2 hours and were met with 3 groups on the first tee. Waited for some dude that just popped out of his car and took a thousand practice swings on the tee box while the other 8 of us waited. If you expect a 2-hour from nine then get a Marshall out there to ensure there is not a half hour backup to start the next nine,. Got to the first available water station on what was our back nine...it was a hundred degrees and while they had water.... they had no cups! Solid! The layout is gimmicky at best, the tee boxes were weak, the fairways were ok, and the greens were
pretty nice. The place has potential but lots to work out for sure. One and done for me.
Price and conditions
I have played numerous golf courses in Central Florida. The price to play this course is a little too high in my opinion. The conditions around the greens were not favorable. The core still needs work, and the AC in the clubhouse was broken which made it very warm. The practice facility is pretty good.
It’s really great to see the course opened! I would drive by in the past and it looked like a barren wasteland. Condition wise the course is great and they’re making the effort to make it a premier experience. The only issues I have was where they put the pins on some of the holes. It seemed like holes were constantly put on ridges that felt more like mini golf. Also, they must have a two tee start in the morning so we had to wait for groups to go through before we started. Because of this they were running low on carts. I’ll definitely be back though.
Great course. Recommended.
Great course especially around central Florida due to the elevation changes. Not an easy course, you’ll have to think about the elevation changes and the slopes. Like the challenge. A lot of off course amenities including track man range, full bar, cart girl, food trucks etc. course condition was great especially for summer time with little rain recently. Will absolutely play again, pace of play started off slow with a 15 min behind, but ranger got everyone to speed things up a bit.
It was a hot day so, the course was overbooked for the morning so pace was slow. Overall had a grate time, the course was in great shape the best greens in Orlando. The course is very challenging with a lot of elevation changes. Definitely will be back.
Wonderful
Course was in excellent condition. Fun to play with all of the elevation. Will be playing here more often and plan to bring all my golf buddies here. Pass of play was excellent, however I would imagine this course is going to become very popular.
Amazing Round
One of my favorite rounds I've played since moving to Orlando 8 years ago. The course layout is awesome, with elevation changes and blind shots as well as greens that required you to focus on a putt's break. Great risk/reward factor on every hole. There wasn't a single boring or cookie-cutter hole.
Amazing
The course is quite different than what I usually play in Florida. The elevation changes are what make this course special. For the price I don’t think you can find a better deal. The driving range is also top quality. Pace was slow but still well worth it.
Amazing
Course is a A+ in my book. Fairways in good condition for this time of year. The greens in decent condition. The elevation changes make this course the best course I have ever played. It was so cool to be in Florida and have all the hills and valleys. I can’t get back to play it fast enough. It took a while to play 18, but well worth the slow play.
Redone Course
The redo since it was sanctuary, Ridge has been a complete job. Well done. The greens were in great shape to fairways were in great shape. The people were pleasant layout of this courses one of the best in Orlando. It’s a must play course we hope they can keep it up. We will play again .
Ok new track
Fun round. Only issue is price compared to more established courses like Orange County National
Good value
Enjoyed our round. They are clearly spending money to improve the course. I think it is a really good value. The average course condition was due to several hot days with little rain. I assume that’s just central Florida golf conditions.
The staff was great, and that’s a great view.
welcome back
Haven't played this track since it was the Ridge, been a few years...glad to see they brought it back. Always enjoy elevation golf, not easy. Grint slope #s look too low for this course. Topography severe in comparison to Legends. Recent Aeration not an issue Will be back soon.
Great Place, Challenging Course
First time at Clermont National. A day after, I’m still reviewing the round in my mind. What a challenging course. Every hole requires a strategy and full focus. No much room for errors. Will play it again as I feel that this first encounter between me and the course ended in a draw. Loved the elevations, the views and the facilities.
Great staff, great place! Congrats.
