Clearmount national
Very nice course. Not recommended for beginners. If you don't have a low hadicap not recommended.
Unique Total Experience
This rebuild is unique that it isn't just a golf course but a bit of an experience. It is almost like a hipster golf course where the shot tracer on the driving range paired with beer, food, ping pong, and bags make it a truly unique experience. I haven't sampled the brunch but appears to also be a solid option with an exceptional VIEW.
The course itself is quite unique itself as it rolls through the hill (that's right, one) of Florida providing elevation changes not often seen in Floroda. The condition of the course was solid. I don't have any specific complaints about condition but was not need. That said, the course was fun and provided plenty of scenic and challenging holes.
Very Picturesque
Little strange getting to the club house and 1st hole putting green hard as a rock looks artificial. This course has a lot of elevation, hilly but very tight also. Fairways I. Good shape greens did not hold your shot and layup approach was tough. Good course will play again.
A Lot of Fun!!!
Clermont National was a great course/experience! Very easy to get stuck on driving range at The View, but we made it to the course. Hole 1 doesn’t set up for much of a great impression, but the other 17 more than made up for it. Tons of dog legs and elevation changes making even the shortest Par 3s and Par 4s quite the challenge. Course conditions were impeccable and the greens rolled very true. Most important, well worth the $59 green fee. Highly recommend the course and if you don’t elect to play, definitely stop by The View and take advantage of the hospitality and Top Tracer Range.
Clermont national
Great course. Staff very friendly. Facilities were very good. The course is in great shape. One of the toughest courses I have played.
One of the best in Central Florida
Truly a magnificent course. Hilly and fast. Greens in superb condition. This is my go to booking every weekend.
Worth the Trip
What a Hot Deal steal for this challenging golf course. The greens were the highlight of the round being firm and fast but fun to putt while the elevation changes throughout the course were a plus. No matter what you pay, you won't be disappointed!
Better than Before
Just played Clermont National for the first time since reopening. I played Sanctuary Ridge and Diamond Players Club multiple times and this is by far the best condition the course has ever been. The practice facility is obviously a huge improvement and worth visiting all in its own. The course itself, the greens, fairways, etc are much improved and really make this unique layout 100x better than before. They have a confusing system for the golf carts and access to the first tee box but hopefully that’s being worked on. This course is really a great addition to the many options we have locally.
Wonderful Improvements
So great to see this course come back to life in a wonderful way. Improvements to the venue, including the new Top Tracer range, are noteworthy. Definitely worth the price if admission.
Good Fun course
Went on Father's Day expecting course to be slow, and was pleasantly surprised that the pace was pretty good. My first time playing since reopening, and fully enjoyed playing it in great conditions.
Fun Layout
Enjoyed the layout, good elevation changes on a Florida course. Greens were a bit inconsistent but in good condition. Will definitely play again.
Spectacular Level Changes
Don’t want to give away any of the surprises. Suffice it to say the level changes make this a relatively unusual layout for a Florida course. I LOVED it!
If I lived close by, this would certainly be a favorite.
Course was in great shape.
One small suggestion: On hot summer afternoons, make sure there is water on the back late in the day.
This is a must play if you’re looking for a change from typical Florida courses!
Monster
The dramatic elevations changes makes this a very challenging course!
Clermont National
The course layout is great and challenging yet fun for all skill level and is much improved and they are still working on maintenance. It was very enjoyable round with very good pace of play that allowed us to finish before the rain came around 2pm. I would definitely recommend playing this course and enjoying amenities at the course.
Great course .
They did a great job at redoing this course. There needs to be a Distance booklet because there was a lot of challenging holes.. I was off on my distances it seamed to play longer. Great job I will be back
Disappointed
I'll start by saying the young man that greeted me in the parking lot was AWESOME! The rest ...not so much. Got in the gas powered cart and drove to the club house area where the area to park your cart was so full that there was nowhere to park. Walked into the pro shop and the line was 6 deep. Range balls are not included in the fee which is always annoying.. The driving range hadn't been swept of balls and there were a million out there. The range mat that both my friend and I used were both torn. Got to the 1st tee and was told we were teeing off on #10, which by the way is the most ridiculous hole I've ever played in my life. Would have been nice to know where we were teeing off before we went to the wrong tee box. They double book tee times here and stress a 2 hour front 9 or "things will get messed up". We finished the front in 2 hours and were met with 3 groups on the first tee. Waited for some dude that just popped out of his car and took a thousand practice swings on the tee box while the other 8 of us waited. If you expect a 2-hour from nine then get a Marshall out there to ensure there is not a half hour backup to start the next nine,. Got to the first available water station on what was our back nine...it was a hundred degrees and while they had water.... they had no cups! Solid! The layout is gimmicky at best, the tee boxes were weak, the fairways were ok, and the greens were
pretty nice. The place has potential but lots to work out for sure. One and done for me.
