Peacock Gap Golf Club extends along the shores of San Pablo Bay, but it sits inland enough to avoid the fogginess of the coast and enjoy consistently sunny weather throughout the year. The course's layout has undergone many renovations over the years that have brought it to its current playability, including a new drainage system, new tee boxes, a reshaping of five of the greens, and relocation of bunkers. The golf course kept the classic features of its original layout though, such as the inviting fairways that still provide a challenge and the tricky greens that deceptively extend past where the player thinks they end. In addition to the course, Peacock Gap has also improved their practice facilities over the years. There is an all-grass driving range, two large practice greens, and a chipping green.

Beautiful course and facility. Appreciate that the ladies' tees make par rating appropriate. Will definitely come back.

Pace of play is killing golf

I love this course but the pace of play is hurting golf. Many people started this gane last year but unfortunately haven’t learned the rules or proper etiquette. .

Depends on the Day

Like most courses, Peacock Gap is in need of a Marshall to facilitate the pace of play. Some people... The course was a bit more brown than the last time we played, possibly due to drought conditions in the area. It's still a great course!

Great track

Other than the sardonic guy who works at the pro shop (I could use a more profane word but I’ll refrain) I enjoy playing at this fun and challenging course. What makes it challenging is the rough when you hit an errant shot and no two lies are the same. This could define most golf courses I suppose. This course needs rain though. Let’s pray for some.

Enjoyed

Always enjoy playing this course although fairways showing a bit compromised but this is probably due to drought. Greens were good; tee boxes decent.

Online deal at Peacock Gap

I was thrilled to see a discounted rate at Peacock Gap Golf Course because I love it's layout. It's a tradition William Bell design, challenging but fair. The course is playing firm and fast because Marin County mandated a 40% water reduction of water used on the golf course due to drought conservation efforts. All in all though it was still a fun day

Fairways are now an abomination

I don't think the fairways were ever great in anyone's opinion, but at least there was playable grass. It's never a good sign when I'm actually rooting for the ball to get into the rough because that's the only playable grass on the entire course. I think they're only watering the greens at this point. This may be a victim of the water shortages, but the reality is: this course is nearly unplayable at this point. Redo the fairways, and I MIGHT think of coming back eventually.
