Painfully Slow Play
Never again - there were two and at times three groups on the tee. No marshalls, no emphasis on pace of play, and long par 3s made for a disasterous day.
Better than usual shape
During this pandemic time, I applaud them for using the hole elevator instead of the pool noodles.
San Ramon is up and coming!!!
Greens are great.. true roll.. there’s actually sand in bunkers (unlike every other course in area), tee boxes not tore up, ice cold ones at the turn. Playing experience at this location is a lot better than I remember from couple years ago. New management? So far played here 3 times since outbreak.. hands free ball retrieval from cup... overall, one of best courses around the area right now.
Cool layout. Some fun holes. But the greens were overwatered and too darn soaking wet on a beautiful warm sunny Friday morning.
I would have loved to hit into and putt on some firmer, quicker greens tho. If not for soaking wet greens, I would have really enjoyed the course
First time playing here
We picked a late tee time to try and get a good deal on green fees, but when it was time to pay up they charged 32 dollars for me and my buddy to use a cart. This is a ridicules price for a golf cart. There goes our "value" for playing late in the afternoon.
Other then that the course was beautiful. For the most part well maintained. Some of the tee boxes need work but overall pretty good shape.
Check In
I went in to the pro shop to check in for my round. The lady behind the plexiglass partition was wearing a mask, all of this is quite the norm now, and was apparently asking me questions. However, I am deaf, and had no idea what she was saying. I told her that I could not understand her because I read lips and her mouth was covered. She immediately produced a sheet of paper and a pen, and proceeded to write down what we both needed to know. I was/am very grateful that she took the extra effort to assist me. I will return to this course
Nice course with not much room for error
The course was very nice and in good condition. Pace of play was a little slow but that was kind of expected with everyone walking because of COVID. The course also only allows 2 carts per foursome and only allows people to share a cart if they live in the same household. The island green was a treat. Course in located with in a community with little wiggle room for bad shots.
Course condition is in great shape.
I have played multiple public courses since they have re opened after the shelter in place restrictionshave been easing. This course has been the one in best shape that i have played so far.
This course is in great shape, greens are nice and fairways are in great condition. The bunkers are fluffy and well maintained..
Island Green
I really enjoyed the course it runs through a neighborhood it gives the vibe that it was once a country club at one time . I never been to TPC Sawgrass or The Stadium Course at PGA West but I can honestly say I have played an island green thanks to San Ramon Golf Club
Glad To Be Back
San Ramon has its challenges, my favorite hole is #9 the island green. The course is in better condition than last week, when the rough was tall with lots of lost balls. I enjoy the course because of the steady breeze to help keep you cool.
Only 1 cart were given for two players
Course allowed only one(1) cart for two some booked.
One player had to walked the course where temperature was very high like 95+ degree.
I wish GN should inform regarding cart information properly so we do not have this kind of incident.
Conditions
Haven’t been here form sometime, and won’t be back anytime soon.Tee boxes in terrible condition, greens crazy slow considering the lack of recent play. If you miss fairways it felt like US Open rough.
Too many other quality course around to come back.
