San Ramon Golf Club

San Ramon is a very good course.

Staff is very friendly and helpful,

Course layout is good but pace of play is a bit slow.

Well I know its COVID-19. We had at least two months. Or more? Of a Time off. CUT THE ROUGH A LITTLE MORE .. VERY HARD TO FIND YOUR BALL

Course was in good shape, they have been continuously improving the course over the last few years and it’s a nice place to play. A good mix of challenging holes with an island green and very nice layout.

San Ramon is a good course that is challenging but not too difficult.The greens were not in very good condition as they had been sanded recently and not repaired.

Pace of play was good .We arrived 45 minutes early but the staff would not let us out early even though there was no one on the course. They did this because we booked on golfnow. This was very wrong.

The pace of place was good..3 hrs by myself with an afternoon tee time. Green were very sandy and not as good as they were when I played in December. Ridiculous that course was cart path only as no standing water. (I drove on the course for a few holes to speed up play:). The condition needs to improve to recommend.

Played mid morning on a chilly day. Course was wet and greens were soft. Considering the weather and the time of year, the course was in very good condition. A few wet areas and mud to avoid, but mostly dry and playable.

They have eliminated much of the overgrowth and I enjoy playing much more than in years past.

The course was great. Grass was green, tee boxes wasn’t a sand box. The greens was running smooth. Little cold but we can’t control the weather. Overall had a great day

Try your skills on the island green, nice course to play, and easy walking course pretty flat.

Played Tuesday after lunch... 4 hours.. no hurry just

enjoy the weather and the course. Course in good shape, greens were excellent.. fairways nice... tee boxes maintained. Only quibble was the sand traps were not consistent some hard... some soft.. and some wet. Otherwise

it would be 5 stars... but then again if your accurate

you wouldn`t be in them!!!!

I first played here over 2 years ago and the course was a mess and expensive for what you got. I tried it again about a year ago and they made many improvements. I’ve played here a few times over the last couple of months and have to say that they have made this a great place to play! In my opinion the course is in great shape and fun to play. It’s more of a parkland type course with trees and water, so it is a welcome change to all the links style courses in the area. It doesn’t have a lot of frills but if you want to play a nice course for a reasonable fee then this is a great choice!

Very close to home. I played by myself; got clearance for a quick afternoon round. Course is nice. Greens punched last week so ran a bit slow but bunkers are quite nice. Rough is well kempt lately. It can be tight. Houses can be close. There are a few that get absolutely bombed by wayward tee shots.

Admittedly I play pretty fast, especially when taking a cart by myself. That being said there were at least 2 foursomes who were so slow and oblivious I just gave up and drove right on by, just giving playing the hole. One was a group of drunk boneheads playing the blue tees. They were clueless. Another were folks coaching excellent Junior players, playing multiple balls. That's fine but let people play through. This isn't your private club, Arnold Palmer. Could certainly use a marshal to tell these folks to hurry up or let faster groups play through.

Golf Now was $68 with $2.42 fee. Fee at the course was $61.

Not what I expected from GN.
