Charlie Yates Golf Course

I am a golf newbie and enjoyed this course because of it's low key atmosphere. The staff and other players were very friendly. The course itself was not intimidating to me as a brand new golfer. Very fun and pretty.

Simple, friendly we'll kept course - nice way to spend a family afternoon

Very enjoyable outing--I took my 11 and 14 year old children. Course was in nice shape with greens very fast due to lack of rain. Inexpensive outing. I would recommend course to beginner to mid level players. Easy to get to from the east side of Atlanta.

The golf course was in great shape and interesting from hole to hole. Each hole has it's own character and uniqueness. The only difficulty for me was cart pass only. I am a disabled veteran with nerve damage in my legs and climbing the hills around the greens were challenging for me, especially with the temp being in the upper 90's. I probably won't play it again but would recommend it for anyone who wanted to get in a quick nine! I love the layout!

Needed some place to take my brother-in-law from Florida who plays several times a week. Even he found it challenging and interesting especially #7 which is uphill. greens were in good shape, but couldn't comment on the fairways as I was so seldom on the fairway and instead in the rough. Worth the money but wish there were 18 holes instead of having to play through twice.

Really great condition. Only problem is that there is no putting green and also children are constantly on course due to course being devoted to First Tee. Course is also par 58. It is not a par 72 course.

Course and facilities are well kept. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Knowing Bobby Jones roamed near this course was enough to make it a great day for me. The staff, fellow golfers, and the course were all great.

A short, but challenging 9 holes of executive golf. Conveniently located near central Atlanta for a quick few holes after work.

A management change has made this a much more friendly, hospitable place. Good for a quick nine.

Light rain meant no real waiting, course was in pretty good shape. Some greens a little beat up but the last minute price on golfnow was a great deal. #7 plays longer than you think.

The foremost noticeable quality of Charlie Yates appears the greens overall quality and consistency. Lots of par threes makes this a very manageable course for any style of player. I've played here everyday this week and will be back.

Mostly par 3's. The rough is impossible to hit out of. Just not a fun time. IT is clean though.

Good round a great place recommend to anyone who like to play golf.

Course was in great shape save for a few greens that were ropey around the fringe. Even with all the recent range no drainage issues - enjoyable and quick 9 holes.

Unfortunately we only got to play 3 holes before we got rained out. However the staff gave us a raincheck to play again. We really enjoyed the holes we played and look forward to getting out again.

Course is very nice and clean, Great for working on irons and hybrids.

Charlie Yates 9-hole course is actually better than a similar 9-hole course I once played in Knoxville, TN that was designed by the famed Tom Fazzio(Wee Course at Williams Creek).
The course is in great condition(nearly immaculate), with a great mix of hills, water and trees, not to mention links-style deepish bunkers. Although the course used to offer a full 18 holes and has recently been cut to 9, what remains is a fun, challenging and well-manicured little course with some tee boxes for the driver and the irons alike.
This might just be the best little golf course in Atlanta.........

The course is very well maintained with a friendly staff.
