Charlie Yates Golf Course

This course is reall y great for your short game. You don't have to pull out your drive until the par 4 on 9. That works for me as a beginner. I'm definitely going back again

I like this course. It is well maintained and the staff is always friendly. It is the ideal place for me to get in a quick nine holes during the week.

The course difficulty is moderate but several holes test your ability to keep the ball in place. I like holes 4, 5, and 6 that go around the lake.

Hole no. 4 is really fun. It is only 77 yards from the white tee but the green has a wide bunker in the front and a sharp drop-off and water behind it.

Holes no. 8 and 9 can be somewhat hard. No. 8 is a par 3 about 180 yards from the white tee. For some reason, I see a lot of balls being hit short and to the right on this hole. Hole no. 9 seems longer than the stated 315 yards from the white tee. Perhaps it's the water in the middle or the uphill finish.

I loved the challenging par 3s. The bunkers made the par 4s great as well.

Only nine holes now and while most on staff are nice there's at least one power-tripping tall guy who is extremely rude. If he doesn't like the look of you, expect to be treated like a criminal.

this was an 18 hole course. Now it's oNly 9 holes. this is an intercity course and will probably wear down do to over play

Greens in good condition. That's about it, and they failed to mention that they shut down the back 9. It is now only a 9 hole course. Price is generally too high for an executive course, especially now. Used to be nice to get a quick round in, but I will not be going back.

The website said 18 holes, only nine. Also there are no par fives and the set up has no flow. If you want a round of 18 at a par of 72 then this is not what you want ! I wasted my money.

A little disappointing that its only a 9 hole course that you play twice rather than a true full 18 hole course. All in all a great value and. Fun course with a handful of fun par 3s.

They have a tall white guy on there staff didnt get his name but he is extremely rude and obnoxious to black golfers .

This is a great short course and very enjoyable for amateur golfers. Greens are well maintained and there are some challenges on a few holes to add some fun and the price can't be beat.

Wonderful course to work on your short game. Staff is wonderful, fairways are in good condition due to carts-on-path-only rule, greens are good (please replace your divots), and fun course to play.

Would love to see a putting green, especially for The First Tee organization.

Well maintained, especially for a public course. Quick to play - alone without much course traffic I think one could play 18 holes in about 2:15. Much tougher from the gold tees than from the whites.

This is truly one of the best courses in Atlanta. The greens are amazing.

I am still a new player, and I have only been to a few courses so far. But, this is by far my favorite course. It' is very pretty, well maintained, and fun to play. My only complaint with the course are that their are players that will complain to the marshal that I am slow (3-4 hours for 18 holes); even though I let the faster players play through. These players WILL hit the ball at you and it's very upsetting that the marshals still give me the talk about allowing players to play through, but they are always polite and understanding.

So to all you new players, this is a great place to learn and play golf ...you just gotta deal with those players who need a hug :-P

Great fun executive course if you want to work on your irons. It does have 4 par 4's and they will test you. Large greens you do not expect on an executive course with elevation changes and water in play on the front. Enjoyable and in very good condition with bent greens in August in Atlanta.

Love to play CY with my wife. It's just right for her. Only one carry over water. We like the fact that we can play in under 3 hours. The staff is always great. Easy to get a tee time. On the downside, the greens are frequently in need of attention, and the greens fee is rather high for an "Exec" course.

Charlie Yates is a great place to go if you don't have a lot of time but would like to play 18 holes. The front nine is much more difficult than the back nine with water coming into play on five of the nine holes. The only thing I don't like is that there is no practice putting green.
